“sequential numbering in word 2016 raffle ticket number generator”

In this tutorial, we’ll explain how to do an easy setup in InDesign for automatically numbered raffle tickets. We will look at the handy “Data Merge Tool,” which is a great time-saver. Let’s jump into this quick tutorial!

\*alphabetic This switch displays results as alphabetic characters. The result has the same case as the word “alphabetic” in the field code. For example, { SEQ appendix \* ALPHABETIC } displays B (instead of 2), and { SEQ appendix \* alphabetic } displays b.

If an unwanted character appears at the beginning of the page number (so that, for example, a jump line reads “Cont’d on page A16” instead of “Cont’d on page 16”), you probably included a section prefix in the Numbering & Section Options dialog box. Turn off or edit the prefix.

If you’re a self-taught InDesign user, you may not have been introduced to automatic page numbering, one of the biggest time-saving features in the program. InDesign allows you to set up the page numbering feature in your Master Pages. Then, as you add or shuffle pages, InDesign updates individual page numbers accordingly. You can style the page number any way you like.

While Automatic Numbering is very useful, there are times when you may want to freeze numbers. This cannot be easily undone, but the process is described http://ringringpromotions.org Converting Automatic Numbering to Manual Numbering

I used the CS3 directions to number 500 tickets both at the top and bottom of each ticket 4 up on a page. This method worked great and really didn’t take very long at all. I dudplicated several spreads at a time to create my 125 pages of tickets ( 4up = a total of 500 numbered tickets). Thanks so much for the help!

Instead of a merge, use a page of labels with six SEQ fields set for different sequences and with an interval of 6. The first page would be your initial set of fields with numbering 1, 35, 69, 103, 137, and 171.

3. Define Document Sequences: You enter a sequence Name and enter Oracle Cash Management as the Application that “owns” the sequence. You can also specify Effective From and To dates and the sequence numbering Type (Automatic, Gapless, or Manual).

I have tried creating a new style to apply to this cell (which is linked to a multilevel list so that it increments sequentially), so that whenever a new issue is created, users can apply the style to this particular cell. In the end, just generate the custom TOC with just this style to get the list of issues.

Member separator – when using this for data merge, I would always leave this as paragraph. There are options such as new line (a soft return) but when using this script as a tool for Data Merge, there is no reason to change the default “paragraph”.

Is there a way to auto number files with the file number (less .jpeg) and save without having to let my computer grind to a halt, as it does using Automate, contact sheet. The objective is to create a preview set for distribution to clients with the file number annotated at bottom centre. Also, is there any way of creating the text/font/colour/stroke of my choice?

I have to print a 1 page pdf document. But I want there to be on top of the page a sequential number that would appear when I print for example 500 copies. There would be 001 on the first, 002 on the second, etc…

I am trying to create Raffle Style tickets using Avery 16154 ticket stock.  I am working in Adobe InDesign CC.  Can someone tell me how to create sequentially numbered tickets in Adobe InDesign CC (I have found it for other versions which don’t work in CC). I need a ticket number on the “stub” and the same matching number on the tear off portion.  They are 10 tickets to an 8.5 X 11 page.

You lost me by step 14. I couldn’t understand where to create the no. 2… onwards, and how to save this label file, (which gets saved as a separate word file) and how to bring it in my table that I created in my original file.

My page numbers all appear onscreen in my document where they should be, but they do not appear when I print the pages. Am using the same template as I did with a document I prepared a couple of months ago and did not have this problem when I printed all the pages in that document. The master page thing is already a done deal.

Open your Layers window. If it is not already open, open it by going to (Window > Layers). Rename the layer with the placed pdf ‘Background’ and then create a new layer and name it ‘Numbering’. Lock the ‘Background’ layer. Then select the ‘Numbering’ Layer.

I have several xml files (SMS backup files) I am editing where I want to insert sequential numbering. The number in the id field shown in bold italics below has been replaced with a unique string to allow for a find and replace to be done sequentially giving, e.g. xml a) containing id’s 1 to 25, xml b) containing id’s 26 to 50, xml c) containing id’s 51 to 75 and so on.

Items like AutoText are stored (in the most recent versions of Word) in a template called BuildingBlocks.dotx. (See this article for details on where this file lives, etc.). So to protect your Building Blocks, you may need to back up that template to another location, like a flash drive.

Does anyone know whether its possible to make Coreldraw (11) number objects within a file with consecutive numbers. It gets a bit tedious placing text and renumbering it incrementally manually when you’ve got 500 items to label!! I was looking for a shortcut, or perhaps a macro which can take the boredom out of the process. Any ideas?

I am trying to add page numbers to an existing document.  I have tried to add them in Prepress, but all I see is the “Print File Information” and even that is not in a location I want.  I have the “Position Within Page” checked.

I need a way for the priority level to automatically adjust when I add or change an item with a new priority level. I might have 6 tasks, each will have a different priority. If I add one and set it to 1, the others need to increment + by one digit. Adding one to the above the highest would see no change in the others. Adding one in the middle would spread the rest apart (e.g. I have a 3, I put a new record and put it at 3, the old 3 becomes 4, and so on (everything below it would increment one digit).
