By default, the Running Header variables insert the first occurrence (on the page) of the text to which the specified style is applied. Running Header variables are especially useful for displaying the current heading or title in the header or footer.

We’ll start with the simplest, scenario 1. Acme will use a straight sequential number for its Purchase Order numbers. Add a (Long?) Integer field to the table named PONum. Add a control to your Purchase Order form bound to that field. Then use the following expression to populate that control:

Create a new section on page 9. In the numbering and section options, begin numbering at 1 and set the style to lower-case roman numerals (you can use other values if you’d like as long as they’re different than what you’re using for the main sections).

I have screen shots of what I have in my db, where can I send it to you (it is in word format) so that you can take a look at it to see what I am doing wrong. I took a screen shot of what is listed for the button and I took a screen shot of the text box Job No. I don’t know how to bound anything other than put the code behind the button and putting the Job_No in the code as you stated. I understand what you are saying, but I thought if I put the text box name Job No in the code behind the button then it would be bound to my table with the Job No field. Heeeelllllppppp!!!! I am sorry that I can’t seem to grasp this….but appreciate all of your help!

I’m using Column A of a spreadsheet to number some items in Column B. I’ve been using Excel’s automatic series-filling function, where you drag down from the lower right corner of a cell. However, since some of the rows in Column B are empty, and I don’t want them numbered, I have to stop numbering and manually “jump” over the blanks in Column A. Is there a way to automatically number down in Column A, while skipping over the blanks and continuing where I left off? I.e. 1 2 3 4 5 ? Thanks much. Try this in A1: =IF(B1<>“”,COUNTA($B$1:B1),”…

In Word 2000, when you begin a numbered list, it is an Outline Numbered list by default. Therefore, you do not need to go into the Bullets & Numbering command unless you plan on changing the default scheme.

Note: The add-in and illustrations shown in this tips page are created using Word 2003. The add-in is fully functional using Word 2007 through 2016. The toolbar shown below propogates on the ribbon Add-Ins tab.

How do I get numbering like the attached image using text in photoshop? I have photoshop elements 9. Basically I just want to be able to type out numbers within boxes, or some other solution that will give me this desired effect easily.

Type “seq ” followed by the name of the element. This name is up to you, but should be the same for each item in this sequence. For instance, you could type “seq figures” or “seq tables” (without the quote marks).

The Insert Sequence Number utility makes it easy to insert unique sequence numbers into contiguous cells and non-contiguous ranges in Excel. What’s more, you can continue inserting the sequence numbers next time in different worksheets and workbooks.

You can define a section prefix to label section pages automatically. For example, if you specify A– for Section Prefix on page 16 of a document and include the section prefix, the page will appear in the table of contents or index as A–16. Text you type for a section marker appears when you choose Type > Insert Special Character > Markers > Section Marker.

Type in a List Name. If you are going to be working with separate chapters in a book, uncheck Continue Numbers from Previous Document in Book. Click OK. (Note: you can update this dialog box after you have created your list via Type > Bullets & Numbering > Define Lists > [Your list name] > Edit.)

The fastest way to get numbers into your document is to click the Numbering button on the Formatting toolbar. This button gives you either Word’s default numbering scheme in your document (1, 2, 3) or the last numbering scheme used during this session of Word. Word’s default numbers are Arabic numerals followed by a period.

If you save your Quick Part in a template other than BuildingBlocks.dotx keying in your abbreviation should make AutoComplete trigger so you do not have to use F3. It doesn’t matter which gallery you save it in either.

Many people like to use a “real” filename for their family photos, but because so many of the photos from my grandmother’s collection are “subject unknown,” I decided to use an informative letter-number filename.

You must make the box very wide. InDesign will automatically update page numbers when you are through and it requires that the box could fit the number 1,999, even if your page numbers will remain low.

Sequential/Serial numbering is available on many products such as business cards, flyers, and posters (at an additional cost) but can only be done with our Digital Output printing service (not available with Offset Output). This service is not included as standard on our products and requires a Custom Print Quote.

I open the assembly and check everything out from vault I open my bom and change item numbers. When I get back to my drawing and apply for auto balloon I get completely different item numbers in my balloons. We just updated our software to a new 2012 version so it’s maybe something with set up.

Thank you, this is very clear for me, but i have a question, If i have an A4 design with VDP and i want to print 2 of them in a Tabloid layout page, what i must do?….maybe a stupid question but i try many ways and i can’t find the right one!….or if i have smaller designs and try to print many of them in a 13’x19′ sheet?

This also either requires 3 separate saved queries or 3 separate calls to DAO.Database.Execute methods, for each SQL statement, in addition to handling the error when the temporary table doesn’t exist. The simplest and clean method for this case could be this following VBA code:

Hello, I’m looking for a way to quickly find what numbers are missing in column B. I can sort them ascending, but how do I find if there are missing numbers? 1 2 3 5 6 7 9 I need to know 4 and 8 are missing. Thank you. One way: select B2:Bx. Choose Format/Conditional Formatting… CF1: Formula is =(B2-B1)>1 Format1: / or, without sorting, select column B (with B1 active): CF1: Formula is =AND(B1>MIN(B:B),COUNTIF(B:B,B1-1)=0) Both CF’s will activate if there are missing numbers before them. In article <28706E9E-2624... You can easily maintain the jump lines of stories that continue to other pages, such as a line that says “Continued on page 42.” Use a jump line page number to automatically update the number of the page containing a story’s next or previous threaded text frame when you move or reflow the story’s threaded text frames. Tags for EPUB and HTML: Any list paragraph will be exported as list entry upon export as EPUB or HTML. Numbers become ol tags, bullets become ul tags. I would recommend to set up the export tagging as ”[Automatic]” and specify a CSS tag. Include it once in the CSS output. Warning  You can change the tab or remove it individually in each paragraph. BUT, each time you make a customization to your numbering scheme, the .25" tab will reappear in all the paragraphs that are a part of the list. This behavior occurs whether the numbering is tied to styles or not. You will now see a "Catalog Merge Area". You'll be able to enter anything in here — plus the data fields we created in the Excel document previously. This area is duplicated automatically 8 times per page (because my example is 2x4)!
