Select the lines with 1 and 2 on them, then right-click and select Toggle Field Codes to display the code associated with these fields. Note: * MERGEFORMAT is added to the fields if you left the Preserve formatting during updates check box selected on the Field dialog box (this is the default).
I’m trying to make a sequential numbering system where if I enter a number in one text layer, the other numbers will add by +1 date sequentially to all the other boxes. Am I able to do this in Photoshop, Indesign or in Illustrator?
I could not translate either of the options’ instructions into anything that worked. I find they lack clarity and it is difficult to understand what you are supposed to do in each step of the process.
Place the insertion point in the paragraph and choose Restart Numbering from the context menu or choose Type > Bulleted And Numbered Lists > Restart Numbering. In normal lists, this command assigns the number 1 (or letter A) to a paragraph and makes it the first paragraph in a list. In multi-level lists, this command assigns the first lower-level number to a nested paragraph.
Still having difficulties with automatic table numbering in word. Please see attached example of what I am currently doing manually but want to do automatically. More tables continue in the document and are numbered 2, 3, 4 and so on with numbering in accompanying table following the same sequence (i.e. 2.1, 2.1.1.; 2.2; 3.1, 3.1.1 and so on).
This does not appear to be a sequential numbering issue. Assigning a sequential number to a record is different from ranking the result set. I would look at a Running Sum to provide a numerical ranking to a result set.
You can use Microsoft Office Publisher, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office Access, Microsoft Office Outlook, or Microsoft Office Outlook with Business Contact Manager to create a data source for your mail merge project. If you want to create a large list of unique, sequential numbers to use as tracking codes for gift certificates or coupons, however, you can use Excel to quickly generate this list.
I am not sure which version of corel you are using, but typing Print Merge in the help file should bring up some step by step topics. I am using X3, but I had a crash, and need to reboot my computer to clear some errors. But one thing that may help, instead of merging a csv file, you could create the data on the fly. One thing to think through is you will need 12 data fields – for arguments sake call them “cir1”, “cir2″, Cir3” etc through “Cir12”. These become like the header row in excel. When asked for a data value, select Auto Increment and start Cir1 at 4000.
“But what if I already have a long list of items that I want numbered.” OK, thanks to the power of Word macros, Word MVP Graham Mayor and I have put together a Word add-in that makes SEQ field list numbering as simple as ABC.
I would like to add multi numbers on a page on different points like first page is (01, 02, 03, 04) and 2nd page should be continued as (05, 06, 07, 08) Means I need 4 continue numbers on a single page… is that possible..?
3. In the expanded dialog box, at the lower left panel, create your own sequential numbers, at the same time, you can preview the result of your customized sequence in the lower right list box, see screenshot:
I’m sorry, but I am not fully understanding what you are trying to achieve using a baseline shift with the automatic page numbering. If you are still looking for suggestions perhaps you can supply a screenshot or PDF to clarify?
The benefit to this is that you are not limited in the layout and font used, however the file size can often be too large to upload to our website. If supplying your artwork this way, it must a press-ready PDF file – our prepress team will not be able to make any adjustments to the file.
Finally, though it won’t be required, having a ORDER BY clause is probably going to be very essential. Without an explicit sort applied to query, you might find that sequential numbers are sequential… but to the wrong rows! It’s entirely up to you to define how it should be sorted so the sequential numbers make sense.
Chapter numbers cannot be included as a prefix in a generated index or table of contents (such as 1-3, 1-4, and so on). If you want chapter numbers to be included as prefixes, use section prefixes instead of chapter numbers.
We are in the process of evaluating lasers for a rather large job that will justify the purchase of a system. Since I currently don’t have experience with CorelDraw, I’m hoping that I can tap the wealth of knowledge that I’ve found here.
If, when the rule is triggered, the Part Number property is blank or the same as the file name, the user would not be asked if they would like to overwrite the part number. This rule would be triggered manually from a form.
Now Cir2 will be the circle immediately to the right of Cir 1, and will start at 4043. The same circle on page 2 will be 4044, page 3 same circle will be 4045, etc. Cir3 will start at 4084 and end at 4126, etc, etc, etc.
There are three issues common to all three scenarios. First, the sequential number is stored separately in the table as an Integer datatype (might need Long Integer). Second, the DMax function is used to determine the last number used. Third, the number needs to be generated immediately prior to saving the record.
Hello, can anyone help me with making serial numbers in this way: When I purchase 10 chairs, I want to monitor all of it by having serial numbers each of those 10 and those 10 numbers should have the prefix “CHR-” if they are chairs. “TBL” if tables, the codes are associated with the item category. BTW, items http://mywebspider.com categories predefined by beforehand on the items by relationships. So when I will want to monitor these 10 chairs, I will only have to click the “generate control numbers” button and each of those purchased items get their own control numbers.
I am creating an image of 150mm x 100mm at 300dpi but photoshop keeps adding decimal points like 150.02 when i change the image from the original size, is it something I am doing wrong or a known bug? You would expect that when you change an image to 150 x 100mm it would stay at that size and not be added to.
If you’re a self-taught InDesign user, you may not have been introduced to automatic page numbering, one of the biggest time-saving features in the program. InDesign allows you to set up the page numbering feature in your Master Pages. Then, as you add or shuffle pages, InDesign updates individual page numbers accordingly. You can style the page number any way you like.
I know that I can select all of the clips and then move the play head to approx 1/10 of a second and split the clips. This works except I have to go through and manually delete the bits I don’t want which is tedious enough for a video with 82 images but I am planning on longer projects, doing it manually would be a nightmare. Also I could probably re-order the images manually but I am sure that there must be an easier.
