Looks like it works only for one line message, and does not work if my label contains 2 lines, e.g. the 1st line says Trade Show items, the 2nd line says carton number 1 of 30; 2 of 30. Also can I centre it vertically?
The Fundraising Authority advises to offer several payment options because a lot of people pay with debit and credit cards these days, so they sometimes don’t carry cash at all. Also, wherever you are, be visible! Use signs and other attractive displays to help ensure everyone sees you.

Select the Text Tool (T) and start dragging a text box that will wrap around the whole ticket including the crop marks. This is very important since the Data Merge will automatically calculate the duplication. Then open up the Text Frame Option (Command + B) and set the Inset spacing to 1p4 for the top and 1p8 for the left. Of course, you can place the text for the numbers anywhere you like. I set the numbers to a small text.

With all of the many available templates, how do you select the right ticket design? It’s a good idea to choose a design featuring a background image that in some way fits with your fundraising purpose. This ties your efforts together in a cohesive way, making your tickets more attractive to buyers. A good design gives potential buyers an idea into the type of cause they’re supporting right off the bat. If you’re raising money for a sports organization, choose a template featuring sporty images. LIkewise, a template with musical notes on it fits in well for a band-related fundraiser. However, if you need a basic template that works for any function, we have simple designs that fit any general need. It’s best to use something other than general copy paper when printing raffle tickets. Heavier weight paper, or even card stock, could be a better choice. Not only does it look more professional, but the tickets will tear off more easily along the perforation. Choose paper colors on the lighter end of the spectrum so that the template design shows up clearly when printed. Office supply stores and craft stores carry papers in various weights, and these are both good places to buy card stock. Some stores sell raffle ticket paper that’s already perforated, so using this type eliminates one of your most time-consuming tasks.
Select the number of books to print from the Books dropdown and Tickets per book from Tickets/Book dropdown. The total number of tickets, calculated from selected books and Tickets/Book is displayed, with total pages (including cover pages) needed to produce the tickets.

Often we get a request to purchase 500 raffle tickets each with two sets of random numbers. Those numbers would include all possibilities of the “pick 3” state lottery (000-999). The ticket holder would have two chances to win for each raffle ticket he or she purchases.
Please note that if your order quantity and the number of pieces per package will result in more than 200 individually shrinkwrapped packages, your order may require an additional 1-2 days for fulfillment.
There’s a much less expensive plug-in from Appligent, called StampPDF, that can stamp the numbers on (with a richer feature set than QIP), but I don’t think it can duplicate the pages for you. But maybe it can stamp four pages for you before incrementing (I took a quick look and didn’t see it). You might want to check it out (they have a free trial).
Serial numbered custom tickets are our specialty and are great for keeping better track of your ticket inventory and tracking admissions. Simply keep a log or spreadsheet of the serial numbers used and what is left on hand.
My issue is trying to create small dot labels or equivalent to make up sequential alpha numeric labels to identify each individual item that I have in my shop, retrospectively. I have possibly 6-8thousand individual items that need coding for stock take purposes yet I can find no outlet that supply such thing. Do you have any suggestions. My line is antiques/collectables, predominantly china with items ranging in size from 2-3cm to 5/600cm. I would be most grateful for any solutions or suggestions. Best regards. Pete.
There are many types of machines printers used to number Carbonless forms. One style is a letter press, another is a pneumatic numbering head which uses air pressure do drive a numbering head and crash imprint the number on the top sheet transferring the number to the other sheets. For example, if you were numbering a 2 part carbonless form you would have a black or red number on the top sheet and a crashed number on the second sheet. The image on the second sheet would appear black no matter what ink was on the top sheet as the carbonless paper transfers the image in black.
Here, http://ringringpromotions.org can help you numbering onto your final artwork how many parts NCRs as you wish. Example; number repeating 111222333444 onto mutli part of NCRs. All you need to do is tell me what number would you like from started to ended and send me your final PDF artwork. Please make sure you clearly clarify where the number will be place in.
Zoom into the tickets where you have placed the text for the numbering and click on the data merge palette. This should be open already since we already called in the data file in Step 11. Place the text cursor behind the last letter of your text. Then click on the text data file (100.txt) in the Data Merge Palette.
I have the document already set up as a 2 page document, but with the script I provided in the link that I got from esmith’s post, it has the first page (white) as 1001, and the second page (yellow) 1002.

You don’t have to be a born salesperson to move all your tickets, but the better your sales tactics, the more successful you’ll probably be. Peter Kajanzy teaches how to crush a sale with pro techniques. One bit of advice he offers: When people ask for the price, instead of doing a complex breakdown of one for $2, three for $5, and so on, go straight to “You can buy five tickets for $8.” Generally, you don’t want potential buyers to have to do a lot of math in their heads. Make it easy on them by offering a bundle price. Other tips to help you sell include perfecting your sales pitch:
where n! denotes the factorial of n. It is obtained from the previous formula by multiplying denominator and numerator by (n − k)!, so it is certainly inferior as a method of computation to that formula.
The technician verifies that the problem is real, and not just perceived. The technician will also ensure that enough information about the problem is obtained from the customer. This information generally includes the environment of the customer, when and how the issue occurs, and all other relevant circumstances.
I’m trying to skip a couple numbers in the sequence. Is there an easy way to do that? I’m building an auction catalog with over 830 items but some of them aren’t going to be listed in the catalog. Is it just easier to restart numbering at that point? Thank you!
NCR Forms are an efficient way to provide multiple color-coded copies of a single document that includes handwritten or typed information. They are the modern replacement for forms with carbon paper. NCR Forms eliminate the carbon mess and are a much more professional alternative to filling out multiple copies of a form on white paper. Use them for forms of all types, such as order forms, packing lists, invoices, and receipts. They are particularly useful where quantities, checkmarks, or signatures will be added to the form by hand.
Start adding some text. Date, time, place, event, etc. Be creative. You can place color boxes behind the text and play with the font sizes. I usually never use more the two fonts, and if I do, I’ll make sure that they are quite the opposite. Pick a font with a big family, meaning lots of weights. Helvetica, DIN or Univers are good choices.
The other way would be to create bates numbers in Acrobat Pro, like every page numbered, and send this to the printer and print every color individually (that requires boxes of carbonless paper in individual colors) and mixed them somehow..but it would be a pain.
Hello Bruce, I seem to be having a different problem altogether. I created my ticket in word using logos and text boxes as needed, ticket looks great. I followed your very clear instructions but when I did the Finish & Merge I got this message, “You cannot include DATA, NEXT, NEXTIF, or SKIPIF fields in comments, headers, footers, footnotes or endnotes.” I then click on OK and get this, “A field calculation error occurred in record 1. Bruce any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!!
“We got our flyers this week and they look awesome. You guys were great to work with and we’ll certainly be using you again (very soon)! Thanks so much for being a great vendor – it’s rare these days.”
It makes it easier to fill out transaction and documentation forms with several copies going to different people. With NCR forms, you just fill out the first page and the rest of the other sheets gets copies of the original.
Summary: Need to add a unique serial number to each printed copy of your document? Here’s a quick way to print such numbered versions. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, and Word 2003. You can find a version of this tip for the ribbon interface of Word (Word 2007 and later) here: Using Sequential Document Serial Numbers.)
