“raffle ticket 3.0 registration code -free raffle ticket number generator”

Starting number for raffle tickets: Unless you specify otherwise they will start at 001. You can specify to begin at 000 (lottery raffles) or any thousand increments such as 2001 or 3,001, etc. If reordering, specify the starting number in the “comments” section.

On a fax receipt, the airline code and ticket number is located in the middle of the page. In this example, you would enter 2100075657 in the ticket number box. The 001 is already provided to the left of the box if American Airlines is selected as the airline flown. Enter the 3-digit airline code preceding the ticket number if any other airline is selected.

If you’re planning on organizing raffle-drawing activities, you’ll need, first and foremost, a raffle ticket. Here, we present you with the best raffle ticket templates the Internet has to offer, fit for every party and occasion!

I work at a quick copy shop as the in house designer. They JUST moved from manual numbering to digital and each job keeps building and getting worse since I brought digital numbering to their attention. I mean it’s super easy if there’s one number but two per ticket and 8 up? It’s hard with limited tools but doable.

(If you prefer using the keyboard, rather than the mouse, then do this instead of dragging down: select cell A2, hit cmd+C to copy, then select cell A3 and use SHIFT+fn+down arrow to select all the way down to row 500. Then hit cmd+V to paste.)

My script looks for the object-name and replaces all the numbers at the end of the text-string. Example: TEST010111 start: 9 how long is the number-string? 5 > TEST00009,TEST00010 and so on every marked object with the specified objectname will get the new string. I have another script that places the marked object(s) in a user-sized sheet after editing the quantity X and Y and the space between the objects.

You can use Microsoft Office Publisher, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office Access, Microsoft Office Outlook, or Microsoft Office Outlook with Business Contact Manager to create a data source for your mail merge project. If you want to create a large list of unique, sequential numbers to use as tracking codes for gift certificates or coupons, however, you can use Excel to quickly generate this list.

PrintMeister – Starter Kit of blank pre-perforated door hangers, bookmarks, raffle tickets, calendars and post cards, printed samples of all stationery formats and color swatch booklets showing paper types and colors. Also includes laminating pouch samples of and for bookmarks and wallet size calendars.

If you have already developed a set of specific code numbers that you want to use to track and categorize customer responses, you can type these numbers into a column of the data source that you plan to use for the mail merge.

Users can find Microsoft Publisher 2010, in the professional edition of Microsoft office suite. This is a special desktop publishing module which can execute a number of errands like design job and lay out tasks for hectic business holders. This saves them a considerable amount of their valuable time and efforts.

For those who would prefer a standalone program with even more features, you can get the commercial version ($10) of Numbergen from MacroMonster. You’ll note that the sequence of numbers can be formatted for either CorelDRAW or Microsoft Word. If you do any numbering, you’ll find the commercial version well worth every penny.

Tombolas are often run at non-commercial events, such as school fetes, and so normally offered as a type of lottery called an ‘incidental non-commercial lottery’ under the Gambling Act 2005. Although there are other rules for this type of lottery, the only requirements regarding tickets are that they are sold at the place where the event is held, while the event is taking place. Under the Act there is no reference to ticket pricing so it is acceptable to, for example, charge 50p for one ticket, £1 for three tickets. Similarly, if during the latter stages of the event there were still prizes left, there are no restrictions on reducing prices of tickets further in order to sell them.

Number Pro is an easy application that lets you create a data file that easily integrates with InDesign, Corel Draw, Microsoft  Word, and Publisher. Raffle ticket numbering, multi-part forms, documents etc., using the data merge or mail merge aspects of these various software applications. Number with ease and print on your home or office printer.

Numbered tickets are a bitch in InDesign. Mainly because if the RIP time. I’ve found that what I have to do is do two runs. One run of just the tickets with the blank area for the numbers. Then I put those back through the copier to print the numbers on them. You want to set up an excel sheet with just one set of your numbers. Not 1, 1, 2, 2. Just 1-3000. Then you create the text boxes for the numbers for the first ticket and draw a text box that is the exact size of the ticket around and send it to the background. Then do a mail merge. You will grab the mail merge name of the column and drop it into each text box so each text box will have the name of your column (like <>). That means that being the same, each number will go into each box so the first ticket will get number 1 and number 1. Then you do the mail merge doing multiple entries per page or whatever it’s called and it will create all the pages needed. So you will end up with a 375 page document to create 3000 total tickets based on an 8 up.

You can request us to change the stub ie, instead of Name, Address and Phone ADMIT ONE, name and date of your event. (This is helpful if you are pre-selling your tickets because your seller can retain the stub portion for record keeping. If you prefer no stub, place your order and select “tickets with no stub”. In either case, your proof will show a standard stub but your Admission Tickets will either have no stub or one with the information you requested.

Next, choose a font and font size for the number (select the code with your mouse and change the font), and add other body text and formatting. Finally, merge the label, card, or sheet “x” times with the LABLCOPY macro (found here in the Library). You’ll get consecutively numbered labels/cards/sheets — as many as you need.

I used the CS3 directions to number 500 tickets both at the top and bottom of each ticket 4 up on a page. This method worked great and really didn’t take very long at all. I dudplicated several spreads at a time to create my 125 pages of tickets ( 4up = a total of 500 numbered tickets). Thanks so much for the help!

5. Drag the number, which Publisher defaults to “1,” into place on the ticket. To change the sequence, such as to start with “100” instead of “1,” click the “Page Number” button again and choose “Format Page Numbers.” Click the “Start this section with” radio button and type the new number into the field. Click the “OK” button to have Publisher update the ticket number.

The only minus: Corel Corp don’t heard about the breacking of Berlin Wall and eastern european characters sequential numbering in word work. Yes, i now, Alex post an solution in VBA in his former Yahoo group. I have a script too.

Note: By default, Publisher opens the My Data Sources folder first. If you saved your data source in a location other than the My Data Sources folder, browse to the location where you saved your data source.

Reorders: If you need more raffle tickets for an order you have place recently, that’s a pretty good problem to have. During business hours (Monday thru Friday and 10am to 1pm Saturday – EST) just give us a call (513)-733-3900. After business hours you can place online – you only need to fill in the first ticket line. In the “instructions” section tell us that this is an exact reorder and what number to start at.

To insert your ticket numbers, first click the area where you want the number to go. Then, click on Insert Merge Fields. A Dialog will pop up and “Numbers” should be selected. Click OK. You should see “<>” inserted into your document. You can insert the <> anywhere you want on the ticket and as many times as you wish.

Microsoft Publisher offers many design tools that let you create any type of publication or document. You can essentially make anything in Publisher, including tickets. The easiest way to make tickets in Microsoft Publisher is to download a ticket template from Microsoft Office’s website and modify it in Publisher with your own text, colors and graphics. These steps can be used for creating tickets in both Microsoft Publisher 2003 and 2007.

Will this work if open the file as a PDF in InDesign? Exactly how would you set up the columning in excel say for numbering 4 part NCR , 1000 sets with prefix text and then what is the link process in Indesign? would appreciate the detailed steps for both

Aug 23, – Re: Adding More Pages to a Raffle Ticket Template It maybe easier to create a data base with consecutive numbers, you can do this within Publisher or Excel, Access, Word and other data bases. File, Page setup, Advanced

We also want to setup right away the crop marks for the tickets. Create another layer and call it “crop marks & score marks.” We will place the crop marks and the score line onto this layer. Start placing crop marks that you create with the Pen Tool (P) around the ticket.

Right now I’m making a straight sequence of numbers (two to a ticket). There are 3000 tickets (3001-6000 for an example) so my numbered list is double that since there are two to a ticket. Right now my flow is this:

Second, customize the raffle ticket so that it is specific to the event. There is enough space to include the top three raffle prizes along with the name of the organization and the event information. It is simple to add these details in Publisher.

Hi Cathy – I’m not sure what would cause that to be honest. Because (even with these instructions!) it can be quite hard to get Word to do this right, I did build a little web-based service to do the same thing. Have you tried that? http://app.raffleticketcreator.com

Any time you want to produce another batch, open the document, press Ctr-A, then F9 and input the starting Ticket #. Simple. Alternatively, if you have Word configured to update fields at print time, just print the document. When you do so, you’ll be prompted for the starting # and Word will take care of the rest.

Click Numbering in the Paragraph group. In Word 2003, Numbering is on the Formatting toolbar. At this point, you have a one-column table with one hundred rows displaying a sequential list of 1 to 100.

1. Start Microsoft Publisher. Click inside the small field with the magnifying glass in the middle of the Available Templates page, then type “tickets” and click the magnifying glass icon. Review the Publisher ticket options, then double-click a template, such as “Raffle Ticket,” to open the design in the Publisher window.

I would love to have a script where I could define the numbering sequence and also define if it ends with a letter or number. Also define it to fit in a certain height. Our plotter can cut to a max of 24.75′.

“how to create numbered tickets in publisher |raffle ticket registration name and number”

Now for the tricky bit. Mail Merges usually have the one ‘recipient’ per page. So Word won’t pick out the next number in your list until it gets to a new page. By default, it’ll print you four tickets on each page, all with the same number. Then a new page, all with the next number. Etc.

Is this quite beyond InDesign CS3? If it is solvable the solution isn’t mentioned in any CS3 book I have managed to get hold of, nor is it dealt with in the CS3 Help facility as far as I can see, nor were the speakers at a recent Adove CS3 Workshop able to solve it. Please advise this frustrated book author! Being the printer, I can’t say I pass the job on to the printer.:-) We do it using auto page numbering, export it as one big pdf, and then use our imposition program to lay the file up multiple times on a page. A lot of jobs we do leave the number blank, and use the numbering machine later, but we’re getting more and more jobs that are run on digital presses like the Docucolor 250 and have numbers too small for the numberer, so we have to do them in the file. This works fine for single-sided jobs, but when a job numbers on one side, but not the other, it gets tricky, especially if it’s NCR, which has to be duplexed.

Your finished file can then be printed on most inkjet or laser printers. After printing you can easily separate the tickets which are micro-perforated or hand out to team members to sell by the sheet or let them separate the raffle tickets as they are sold.

If you got to the end of these instructions, then well done you! If skipped to bottom, then maybe consider trying this online tool to design and print your own raffle tickets without battling with Excel and Publisher! You can design awesome tickets and print them at home, just with a few clicks, all in your web browser:

I had wanted to create a file that didn’t require Excel as the data source, so I created one using SEQ fields. It was terrible and too huge to mention (thanks Doug sequential numbering so I recreated it using Word as the data source so that people who only have Word can use it. You can create up to 5,000 tickets without changing the data file. If you only have Word and need to create more than 5,000 tickets, please don’t type the ticket numbers. Just drop me an email and I’ll create another data file for you with the required numbers.

There’s an old Steve Martin joke about how to make a million dollars which starts, “First, get a million dollars…” That’s the key to this trick, too: First, get a bunch of numbers. Here’s a file with 1,197 numbers in it. Now import or paste those numbers into a thread so that the numbers appear in the right place. If you need two matching numbers, just import it twice.

15. Use scissors or a paper cutter to cut the tickets, leaving each set intact. When a person buys a ticket, the seller should separate the tickets right then, giving one ticket to the buyer and dropping the other ticket into the receptacle from which the winning ticket will be drawn.

Now click on the Microsoft Office Word Help option. Consequently, to the right side of the word document, a support box will pop up. You can easily look for the option Search for and after you find this box, you need to type Create numbered tickets and hit on the green arrow. This Help feature will do all the work for you and it will enlist a number of relevant choices in the area of your search. (501 Microsoft Templates)

Like a charm! I can choose how many zero how many out I need and if there are special versions I can separate them too! Thank you, I was just about to run screaming from the building! All the “solutions” mentioned on this page are great examples of a great irritation in the graphics industry: When offering solutions, PLEASE mention the platform you are using and save people some frustration; what works great for you on a PC may not work at all on a Mac. What options you see on your version of Indesign are NOT cross-platform and Corel is strictly a Windows application. Thus we get puzzled responses from those who can’t understand why someone cannot grasp what they see as a simple process.

In the example I explained, I was using a list, but did it with un-linked text boxes using “continue from previous number” and “continue numbers across stories.” I’m guessing that there is no way to tell InDesign that even though there are 4 text boxes on the page, that there are two different lists? I’d probably have to just create two threaded stories for that scenario to work.

I am trying to create Raffle Style tickets using Avery 16154 ticket stock.  I am working in Adobe InDesign CC.  Can someone tell me how to create sequentially numbered tickets in Adobe InDesign CC (I have found it for other versions which don’t work in CC). I need a ticket number on the “stub” and the same matching number on the tear off portion.  They are 10 tickets to an 8.5 X 11 page.

Print using a template.[4] If you’re printing over a computer, you don’t need to design the tickets from scratch. There are templates specifically designed for raffle draws. Look up one of these templates and print rows and columns of them onto as many printer sheets as you need. You can take the image and type the necessary information as needed via a Word processor. Print off a sheet and have it ready.

Just download the Raffle tickets with consecutive numbering and matching stubs from the Microsoft Office website. It is a 2003 version and I have Office 2010.   The template has sequential numbering and displays 8 tickets on 2 pages, but I need 3000 tickets.  How do I add more tickets to this document.  I have looked online for tutorials, but most are for starting a ticket from scratch.  Please help!!

Receive and unpack your tickets. The tickets normally come wrapped coil and will most likely be perforated. You should leave the coil wrapped until it comes time to sell the tickets so you don’t lose any.

While you don’t want to waste anyone’s time intentionally, it may be helpful to contact a few places. It’s possible you’ll be able to snag a better deal if the company sequential numbering open to wholesale bargaining.

What if I need to create 200 vouchers and each has a unique code not in any sort of numeric or alphabetical order. The codes are listed in excel under one column. Is there a way to link the text frame on a master page where the codes should be placed to the excel document to assign one code per voucher?

Raffle tickets are like a pint-sized lottery. People spend money on a ticket in the hopes of winning a prize. They are a common way for organizations and clubs to raise funds. Most of these entities find a sponsor to donate a prize, and then sell tickets giving people a chance to win the item. While a well-planned raffle can stand to earn a hefty sum, there is usually some expense in making the tickets themselves. Tickets can be made from home or ordered. Regardless how big or small your raffle is going to be, there’s always an option available to suit your needs.

Then, when you go to print, click on the “Setup” tab of the Print dialog, then check “Thumbnails” towards the bottom. Select the gang-up layout of the thumbnails from the associated drop-down list. Then print. Voila!!

The event will set up certain prizes. Raffle tickets are then sold, and the people told to hold them until the raffle is held. Raffle tickets are then drawn randomly, and the holders of the winning tickets get a prize. While organizers can be as creative as they wish, offering bulk purchases of tickets and discounts, the basic rules stay the same. The benefit of holding raffles is that donors enjoy the anticipation of possibly winning a prize, while donating to a charity. This makes raffle tickets one of the most popular ways to earn for a nonprofit.

It is beneficial to have a variety of prizes to include on the raffle ticket template so they appeal to a diverse population of attendees. Many businesses or volunteers will be willing to donate prize items.

you need to put in a heading row. just do A B C D…etc and make another row directly below it that is A1 A2 A3 etc for dummy numbers. That 2nd row can be your first sheet and let what I affectionately refer to as “cutterboy” do his/her setup.

The number of the ticket is the only thing that changes. If you’re starting to sell tickets that are in the double or triple digits, you can add a digit to the front. However, given how fast numbers can be written by hand, this may not be worth the trouble.

Right now I’m making a straight sequence of numbers (two to a ticket). There are 3000 tickets (3001-6000 for an example) so my numbered list is double that since there are two to a ticket. Right now my flow is this:

Now you’re done. Click OK and you should see the number appear in the text frame. To make more numbers, just duplicate this frame. Every time you make a new frame, InDesign increments the number automatically. Note that in the following image, the frames are not threaded together:

TIP: This step inserts a new code at the top of the document, [Pg Num Set: 3001], and numbers the items consecutively from the new starting number by simply changing the starting “page” number. You can re-use this document In the future with different numbers by simply deleting this code and repeating step 5 with a new starting value. (Or simply double click the code in Reveal Codes to bring up the Values dialog.)

1. Start Microsoft Publisher. Click inside the small field with the magnifying glass in the middle of the Available Templates page, then type “tickets” and click the magnifying glass icon. I had the same problem and found out the same thing, that it’s the order of creation that seem to govern the lists numerical order. It felt intuitive that the order in the layer-panel should be where this could be managed, although perhaps there’s some reason for why that isn’t a good idea that I havn’t thought of.

All the remaining pages should pop off just how you want it. If you continue to have issues and want me to look at it you can pm me a link to the file and i’ll steer you in the right direction. You are 95% of the way there.

Summary: Templates are a great way to create new documents because they act as intricate patterns to what those new documents should contain. What if you want the new documents to include some sort of automatically incrementing number? This tip looks at ways you can accomplish the task. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, Word 2003, and Word 2007.)

The problem with your document is that you have put everything into textboxes instead of into the table cells you have below them. You also don’t need the \* MERGEFORMAT switch that every SEQ field in your document now has.

Now, you need to make each row know to move to the next record. Basically, you on each ticket you want to first move to the next number before displaying any ticker numbers <>. To do this, select the space right before the first <> in your second raffle ticker. When you have that space selected, click on Insert Word Field > Next Record

Raffle tickets are a fun and easy way to raise money for an event. Raffles can be private, organization based, local or worldwide events.

Create your own tickets using your favorite graphics program like Photoshop, Microsoft publisher, or Word. The using Number-Pro you can easily add numbering to your tickets in multiple places. Raffle ticket numbering has now never become easier.

Choose the option “Microsoft Office Word Help.” An assistance box will populate to the right of your document window. In the box labeled “Search for” type “Create numbered tickets” and click the green arrow. The Help function will search and provide a list of options within that area.

I found a # sequence generator that can give me one column with the sequence out to whatever I need (say 30,000) however, I can’t get a duplicate number. I need the ticket and the stub to have the same number.

10. Back in the document, select your dummy number in the first ticket. Click the button ‘Insert Merge Field,’ then select the one entry in the drop-down menu, which will be the first number from your spreadsheet.

I’ve heard of programs that you can use that fill these in but I have no idea how to use them/find them/if they’re reliable or if they do exactly what I need them to and if they’ll output to a postscript printer properly.

See to it that there is a place for the show name as well as the movie name. This is a key feature for any movie ticket. It should come out clearly so that the one buying the ticket will clearly see the name of the movie they are going to watch to develop some interest in it. The ticket number should also be brought out clearly but this should not obscure the movie name to enable many to buy the ticket.

The next step is to create the simple Excel workbook that contains the ticket numbers. Open a blank Excel sheet. Using Figure B as a guide, create the ticket numbering sheet and save it, making sure to note the new workbook’s name and location. As we discussed earlier, the Excel workbook stores the ticket numbers. In this example, we’ll create 11 tickets numbered 100 through 110. You’ll need to update the ticket values for each merge.

Fill in the information. Much like making your tickets by hand, you’ll need to input information for the tickets. Because you’re doing it via computer, it will be faster to make the tickets consistent. Write in the basic information into the template you’re using. The individual ticket number can be either written in or sequenced via a program like Microsoft Publisher.[6] Although specifics will vary between raffle events, here are some things you’ll absolutely want on each ticket:

Summary: If you need to include serial numbers in your printed matter (labels, letters, documents, etc.), the best way is through the use of Word’s mail-merge capabilities. This tip outlines how you can use this capability to get just the serial numbers you need. (This tip works with Microsoft Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002, Word 2003, and Word 2007.)

If you’re producing any kind of numbered items in-house that are multiple-up on a sheet where you need to control all the variables to meet your production needs, the autonumbering feature through numbered lists is the way to go! Just step and repeat away & InDesign will do all the work. No need to fool with a seperate “numbers” file or deal with a data merged document. I think it’s by far the best option for basic numbering.

Of course, there are third-party solutions that are available for creating sequentially numbered labels. One that comes highly recommended by several WordTips subscribers is Bates Labels from Payne Consulting (http://www.payneconsulting.com). This free Word template allows you to easily create as many labels as you need for a specific purpose.

Then just assign each of the letters to where you want in the layout. You will see <> <> in each of the spots where the letters are. when you do you merge make sure that you have the page as the sheet size that you are using and do not use multiple records per sheet.

Creating a sequential list of numbers, in Word, sounds like an intimidating task. Sure, you can create a numbered list quickly enough, but that feature works with additional text – you’re numbering something. If you want a list of just numbers, you have to work a bit harder. Word’s SEQ field might come to mind, but that solution is better suited to template-type numbering. In order words, this field works great if you’re numbering documents, labels, and so on. It doesn’t work so well if you just want to create a list of sequential numbers. You can use it that way, but it’ll be more work than it’s worth.

Unfortunately, InDesign isn’t exactly speedy at updating these numbers when you add a bunch of pages. But it’s not hard to duplicate and reduplicate until you have a thousand or more numbered tickets.

I am printing many pages of tickets. Each page has 5 tickets and I would like to sequentially put a number on each ticket. I have tried to use the auto page numbering feature but that is putting the same number on each of the 5 tickets and then increments for the next page — not what I need. Also, can the numbering not suppress the leading zeroes? Thanks….

I’ve heard of programs that you can use that fill these in but I have no idea how to use them/find them/if they’re reliable or if they do exactly what I need them to and if they’ll output to a postscript printer properly.

A very common usage for the Print Merge function in CorelDRAW is for adding numbers to tickets or invoices. Unfortunately it can be a bit of a hassle to create the list of numbers. When you have multiple tickets on a single printed sheet, it becomes even more complex as you want each stack of tickets to be in numerical order.

10. Back in the document, select your dummy number in the first ticket. Click the button ‘Insert Merge Field,’ then select the one entry in the drop-down menu, which will be the first number from your spreadsheet.

First, download this completely free raffle ticket template for Microsoft Publisher. It is so easy to download the template right from this site then customize to the needs of the raffle. Since each ticket already has a unique number, all the hard work is already done.

Choose the option “Microsoft Office Word Help.” An assistance box will populate to the right of your document window. In the box labeled “Search for” type “Create numbered tickets” and click the green arrow. The Help function will search and provide a list of options within that area.

4. Save your raffle tickets, then purchase the appropriate size raffle ticket card stock from an office supply store. The item numbers for Avery brand are listed with the raffle ticket template, but any brand matching the size of your raffle ticket will do.

Running a raffle at events can boost profits, whilst also building links with local businesses. As raffles fall under the terms of the Gambling Act 2005, we asked the Gambling Commission – what do PTAs need to know?

When you have Microsoft Publisher at your hand, you need not worry about running to stores to explore and buy tickets for organizing company day outs, vacation give away or a business board meeting. Microsoft Publisher provides you with several Word templates from which you can create event tickets with ease and skill. It even includes the fundamental chronological ordering required for raffles .once you get the ruse of setting up numbers in the ticket series, you can commence numbering in your own style.

Back in the document, select your dummy number in the first ticket. Click the button “Insert Merge Field,” then select the one entry in the drop-down menu, which will be the first number from your spreadsheet.

Subsequently you have to select the template named Raffle tickets 6 per page. Microsoft Word will make available a preview of the chosen template and then inquires whether you wish to download the particular template. Now choose the option to download. Consequently your current word document gets replaced with the template of raffle ticket which is ready to undergo editing in your hand.

With all of the many available templates, how do you select the right ticket design? It’s a good idea to choose a design featuring a background image that in some way fits with your fundraising purpose. This ties your efforts together in a cohesive way, making your tickets more attractive to buyers. A good design gives potential buyers an idea into the type of cause they’re supporting right off the bat. If you’re raising money for a sports organization, choose a template featuring sporty images. LIkewise, a template with musical notes on it fits in well for a band-related fundraiser. However, if you need a basic template that works for any function, we have simple designs that fit any general need. It’s best to use something other than general copy paper when printing raffle tickets. Heavier weight paper, or even card stock, could be a better choice. Not only does it look more professional, but the tickets will tear off more easily along the perforation. Choose paper colors on the lighter end of the spectrum so that the template design shows up clearly when printed. Office supply stores and craft stores carry papers in various weights, and these are both good places to buy card stock. Some stores sell raffle ticket paper that’s already perforated, so using this type eliminates one of your most time-consuming tasks.

Hit the Merge to New Document button on the Mail Merge toolbar. (I don’t advise merging right to the printer. Most of you that are selling raffle tickets don’t want to waste the paper to print them wrong.)

The trick is this: I creat an ‘template’ of the card, somewhere outside of the page. All object for data are text object, with all the formating needed. In place of the photo is an rectangle. The script read an text file (CSV) with the database, duplicate all template object, one by one and replace string in text object with the string from DB and import photo in place of the rectangle, redimension and convert to RGB or CMYK, acording to the initial data (atach.) When the page is full, create another one.

Stop dragging when you’ve selected enough numbers. Note http://sl-inworld.com while you’re holding the mouse button down, a tool tip will appear nearby displaying the number you’re up to. If you’ve gone too far, simply mouse back up.

Good morning! Directions are clear for sure but when i go to merge the first ticket is one but the second number on the raffle ticket is two. i have four raffle tickets per page the first three are messed up but the forth is correct all the way down to 500. Any ideas? i have tried with a header and without a header. i even made the first number with a formula. it does work with out putting next record but like you said it is four tickets with the same number and that would use a ton of ink. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Now, you’ll define the actual merge values. In this case, it’s the Ticket Numbers field in the selected Excel workbook. Drag the Ticket Numbers field from the merge pane to the document (Figure G). After dropping the field control, I pressed [Enter] to replace Microsoft with the <> field.

Number-Pro can be used to create unlimited amounts of the numbering mail merge file you need. This is great for small print shops, non profit organizations that do there own tickets. Using your own home or office printer you can number your own raffle tickets.

15. Use scissors or a paper cutter to cut the tickets, leaving each set intact. When a person buys a ticket, the seller should separate the tickets right then, giving one ticket to the buyer and dropping the other ticket into the receptacle from which the winning ticket will be drawn.

Our raffle ticket templates have a placeholder for a ticket number, usually “xxx” to remind you it needs to be replaced. Select it, click Insert Merge Field > Ticket. Do the same for the second ticket number placeholder. Most tickets will have two number placeholders because one part of the ticket is for the raffle host (you) and the other is for the purchaser.

Sep 6, – In this tutorial, we’ll explain how to do an easy setup in InDesign for automatically numbered raffle tickets. We will look at the handy “Data Merge Tool,” which is a great time-saver. Let’s jump into this quick tutorial! Step 1. Open a new document in InDesign and deselect Facing Pages, choose a width of 5.5

You’re selling raffle tickets to make money, so why buy the tickets pre-printed? Using Microsoft Word’s mail merge function, you can create your own raffle tickets and design them any way you please. A mail merge doesn’t have to make mail; it is simply a way to define certainly elements of a document, then automatically insert variable elements, such as raffle ticket numbers. The most important thing to remember is that each ticket needs a mate–you don’t want to pull winning ticket number 81018 only to find that no one bought that one.

What is the best way to set up a document to do this without having to manually enter 300 numbers? The best way to handle this depends on whether you’re using CS2 or CS3. I much prefer the CS3 method.

I’m struggling with this as well. I tried creating a .txt file of sequential numbers 1-99 from Excel and brought it in as a datamerge. My tickets are 8″x3″, 3-up, but when I did the merge, InDesign added 3,416 pages. Where the Hell is THAT coming from?? Any clue what I’m doing wrong? I’m using a tutorial that is using CS5, but I don’t see how that has anything to do with all those bloody pages.

Second, customize the raffle ticket so that it is specific to the event. There is enough space to include the top three raffle prizes along with the name of the organization and the event information. It is simple to add these details in Publisher.

In trying to produce 300 tickets, I can get all of the first numbered position to be sequential over 100 pages. But, when moving down to the second or third ticket position on the page and setting up the numbering, I repeatedly find that I get a repeat of the first 100 numbers. I am lost as to how to proceed. Is there any other missing step or info that I am assumed to have knowledge about that was not mentioned above? If you know of some other site that might explain this process any better, please post.

Brilliant! I followed your instructions to the end, though I had to Google how to do a mail merge in Publisher 2010. But, with your help, I now have gorgeous raffle tickets of my own design! Thank you 🙂

(If you prefer using the keyboard, rather than the mouse, then do this instead of dragging down: select cell A2, hit CTRL+C to copy, then select cell A3 and use SHIFT+PageDown to select all the way down to row 500. Then hit CTRL+V to paste.)

Printing raffle tickets on the back: The price is $15 per 1000 raffle tickets. If you want a logo or artwork printed on the back of the raffle tickets upload your artwork with your order and enter “print logo on back”: in the “back lines” section. You will receive an email proof before your raffle tickets are printed.

Online Proof: Our online proof is there to give you an idea what your tickets will look like. If you’re not happy with the proof just tell us to send an actual proof (Our Artists have a lot more flexibility then the online proofing). If you’re adding a logo there is no need to request a proof. In either case complete your order and you will receive a proof the next business day.

Annabelle – You need the tickets in the top slot of each page to run from 1 to 167, then the second slot down to be 168 – 335, then have 336 – 500 in the third slot. Easiest way to achieve that would be to create a your list of numbers in Step 3 in Excel so it runs as 1,168,336,2,169,337 … etc., like this:

Now, what if you want to create multiple tickets for your organization? It is a really hassle free and easy process. Once you have done with your editing and typing of the document, you just need to copy and paste the complete word template over and over again to generate multiple tickets.

3. Modify any template text with your own custom text by clicking the template text to select the text box. Drag your mouse over the text to highlight it, then begin typing your own text. Your text replaces the template text. To change the text font, highlight your text and go to the ‘Home’ menu. Select the font you want to use from the drop-down font menu.

Thank you so much for this! These instructions were perfect and clear, and I got it all done, except when I go to print. It prints out 1 per page. I have Word 2007, and tried printing out on letter size with 4 per page, but then it prints them all very tiny in the corners. Can you help me? Thanks 🙂

Making a set of raffle tickets is exceptionally easy to do with our Microsoft Word based raffle ticket template system. Simply download one of our raffle ticket templates to your computer. Next, open the raffle ticket template in Microsoft Word. At this point you can customize your raffle tickets by adding/editing text material.

Perforate your tickets. Printed tickets are more uniform, so it works in your favour if you’re a little more professional with them. Perforating your tickets means you’ll be able to tear them each off quickly.[8] Perforating tools are spindled wheels that poke holes evenly in a line. Run them between tickets like you would use a pizza cutting wheel. Cut your tickets out into rows and perforate the border between each ticket.[9]

It appeared designed for variable numbers in one place. My customer needed her tickets numbered in two places, on the ticket and on the stub. Because she needs them tomorrow there is no time to send them out to be numbered manually. I’ll keep watching this space for more info. Thanks folks.

I don’t want to have to data entry to finish each line. Will take forever. Is there a way to get a same, same format in microsoft word. I have used a sequence number generator to get a list. Its the comma and second duplicate # that is the problem.

There is a good chance that the digital printer that you will use, has a cut and stack imposition method. This is a method that replicates Peter’s description, except it is done at the RIP and automatically. If this is the case, all you would need to do is supply a file from your data merge (20,000 single pages), and the imposition is taken for you.

After dealing with the numbering problem, you also need to end up with single raffle tickets from the stub. The cutting and perforating bit can be quite a hustle depending on the number of raffle tickets that you are planning to sell. But this is something that can be done by one individual who is dedicated. All one would require is full size paper cutter together with an inexpensive tracing wheel to get over this stumbling block in whole process. You could also choose to enlist a group of people to help you out in this to finish this in a timely manner.

Once you have your new blank document, go to File… > Page Setup… to set the correct size. You want to set this to the size of your raffle ticket, not the size of paper you are printing on. You probably want 4 raffle tickets per page, so if you are printing on A4 then set the size to 20cm wide x 7cm high, with 1cm margins:

The four templates with automatic serial numbering are quite nice and one of them will most likely be suitable for your needs. You can edit them as well. If you’re going to do that, save the original template separately. Doing so will give you a fresh template, in case you need one.

Nicole – I’m not sure. Are the page and margin settings (from step 1) definitely correct? If each ticket was a little too big, so that only two tickets could be fitted on each sheet of paper, http://thedailyrant.net might create the problem you’ve experienced. Other than that, I’m baffled …

(These instructions are for Microsoft Publisher. Instructions for printing raffle tickets using Microsoft Word are here. Or use this special online raffle ticket program which is much easier than Word or Publisher!)

Once you are happy with your basic layout, copy everything three times so you have a page of four tickets. At this point, they won’t be numbered tickets just yet, you will add the numbers in a moment:

It depends what the design is for the tickets. But if you set up primary text frames, linked for the area for the numbers, you can create a numbered list with the numbering format you want. Then, just pour in a whole load of paragraph returns that have that numbered list applied. And make sure each numbered paragraph is set to start in the next column.

I use a little program called “Number It” I purchased on E-bay a couple of years ago. It will print the ticket (from bmp file) and number on the Canon 3200 in one pass. BW or Color. Nice little program and well worth the $50-80 price.

You can stick with the design in the template or create your own. To change the design, just click and delete the existing graphic or background you want to change. Click the Add Image box from the menu on the left, then browse to find the new image you wish to use.

Design and order your tickets. Once you’ve chosen a manufacturer and are in contact with them, it will come time to solidify the specifics of your order. Some of the bigger outlets will come with pre-made ticket designs you can buy more cheaply. Custom orders may cost more, but you’ll have a ticket with a specific look for your event.[14] Make sure to give the manufacturer all the information they require. This may include:

The publication maintains the link to the data source that you connected it to so that you can jump ahead to the previewing step.

Contact a manufacturer. Whether you’ve found a local ticket producer or an outlet online, you need to get a hold of them before you can order your tickets. Online companies will have their contact info somewhere on their webpage. Drop them a line, introduce yourself and let them know you’re interested in purchasing raffle tickets. Be sure to let them know roughly how many tickets you’re looking to buy, as well as the date you want to have them by. A representative should respond within a business day to take things forward from there.

If you are registered with your local authority to run a ‘small society lottery’, then you need to contact them in case they have specific terms and conditions you must adhere to. If you put back the date of the draw, it will need to take place as soon as practicably possible. You must make every attempt to notify those who have purchased tickets in the lottery/raffle of the change to the draw date. The notification may be through a number of channels including email, a telephone/text message, your website, a newsletter and your local newspaper.

Thank you for these instructions!! I’m using them to auto number my son’s baseball team raffle tickets which we hand numbered last year (UGH!). I followed the instructions exactly but for some reason the numbering is starting at 2 every time. I did deselect the checkbox about the column headers which seems the obvious culprit. Any ideas? I’m using Word on a PC. Thanks!!

Now it’s time to edit all the text to check for the exact date, rewards and prizes. You can modify or delete whatever is not applicable. Care has to taken to highlight significant words in the text of the template. There are even options to change the style and size of the font of your characters.

Choose the option “Microsoft Office Word Help.” An assistance box will populate to the right of your document window. In the box labeled “Search for” type “Create numbered tickets” and click the green arrow. The Help function will search and provide a list of options within that area.

My quick process involves setting up a row of plaques with a01, a02, a03, thru a09. Then copy the plaques to the clipboard. Run the REPLACE TEXT feature to replace “a” with “1”. Move row down and paste clipboard back into page. Run REPLACE TEXT to replace “a” with “2”. Repeat until I get all the numbers. It’s faster than manually typing the numbers in but I know there’s go to be someway of automating the process.

I know that I can do it with auto page numbering in Indesign, but that means I can only print raffle tickets 1-up which wont work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Hi Cory, I’m planning on selling numbering templates that I creates using page layout and imposition software. I print and number tickets at

There is very simple solution that we use and that is to lay out the sheet say 6 up on a A4 sheet as a master page and in document setup set the number of pages to 1,000 if that is the amount you require. Put a page number on each ticket on the page and although they will all have the same number on each page, we put the the first two letters of the customers business name before each number followed by the letters of the alphabet so it then reads for example BT1A, BT2A, BT3A, BT1B, BT2B, BT2C and so on as each page is printed.

Choose the template titled “Raffle tickets 6 per page.” Word will provide a preview of the template and then ask if you would like to download the template. By choosing download, Word will replace your existing document with the raffle ticket template for you to edit.

Yes, it is a pain to reprint one or two sheets if you have closed the file. I’ve learned to leave the file open on the desktop until the tickets are finished. This way if the perf, or cutter messes up I can easily reprint those ticket numbers without re-aligning the art & numbering.

On a carbon copy ticket, the airline code and ticket number is located in the upper right corner of the ticket. In this example, you would enter 4481640297 in the ticket number box. The 001 is already provided to the left of the box if American Airlines is selected as the airline flown. Enter the 3-digit airline code preceding the ticket sequential numbering in word if any other airline is selected.

On a master page, create a text box. rightclick/insert special character/markers/current page number (also under the type menu). Have your ticket image on the master page too, then just create x number pages for x number of tickets.

4. Stop dragging when you’ve selected enough numbers. Note that while you’re holding the mouse button down, a tool tip will appear nearby displaying the number you’re up to. If you’ve gone too far, simply mouse back up.

Nicole – I’m not sure. Are the page and margin settings (from step 1) definitely correct? If each ticket was a little too big, so that only two tickets could be fitted on each sheet of paper, that might create the problem you’ve experienced. Other than that, I’m baffled …

Sounds like you have put a “Next Record” field after the final ticket on each page. Because the final ticket is at the end of the page, the number will increment automatically at the end of a page. If you put a ‘Next’ field there too, you’ll jump two numbers. This issue is mentioned in Step 5 above, but maybe I should make it clearer.

A raffle refers to a way of generating money by selling numbered tickets, then one or some of the sold tickets are drawn at random and the holder or holders of these tickets get to win a prize. This method of raising cash has been employed by many people especially groups which want to acquire an asset or start a certain project. It is thus not surprising when your child approaches you on how to come up with raffle to help his/her club raise some cash.

Subsequently you have to select the template named Raffle tickets 6 per page. My name is Simona Pfreundner, and I’m an independent graphic designer based in Montreal, Canada. I am a very creative woman with a big love for illustration, speak three languages, and solve problems with visual solutions in a colorful way.

If you are making the tickets ten-up you can put everything on a master page. Make the ticket number [Page Number][digit 0–9] then fill with pages based on that master. Page 1 will be tickets 10–19, page 29 will be tickets 290–299, etc.

1. Open Microsoft Word, click the ‘Start’ button and choose the ‘New’ command. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the template categories and select ‘More Categories.’ In the main window, click on ‘Tickets.’ Select the raffle ticket from the top row of templates that most closely matches the type of raffle ticket you want to make, then click on it to load the template into Word.

First, create a numbering “list” by choosing Type > Bulleted & Numbered Lists > Define Lists. Then click New to create a new list. You can name it anything you want, but make sure the Continued Numbers across Stories is enabled:

Drag your cursor on the Font toolbar on the top of the ms word document and formulate necessary alterations. If you are troubling to find ways to include images to make your ticket look appealing and rich, then you need not worry. Just put your cursor on the Insert option in the tool bar and hit on it to add appropriate images befitting the occasion.

Click that, and a placeholder will appear where your cursor was, which will later insert the ticket number at that point. Do that twice for each ticket (once for the counterfoil, once for the main ticket). You should end up with something like this:

Once you’re sure that the legal bases are covered, you’ll want to be sure that your raffle tickets make running the show easy and successful. Printing your own tickets can help. It could save you money and it gives you complete control over how your tickets look.

Compare manufacturing prices.[10] For any sizable raffle (500+ tickets) it is recommended that you buy tickets from a professional company. This will lessen the workload for you, and there won’t be a risk of potential ticket fraud. There are online outlets that specialize in ticket printing.[11][12] Check online for a few of these and compare prices to see which one suits you best.

Highlight your placeholder. Again, Remember, for Raffle tickets, you will have two placeholders. One for the ticket itself, and the other which is for the piece that is given to the individual who purchases the raffle ticket. This is where you want your sequential numbers to appear on your ticket.

Running a raffle at events can boost profits, whilst also building links with local businesses. As raffles fall under the terms of the Gambling Act 2005, we asked the Gambling Commission – what do PTAs need to know?

I’m struggling with this as well. I tried creating a .txt file of sequential numbers 1-99 from Excel and brought it in as a datamerge. My tickets are 8″x3″, 3-up, but when I did the merge, InDesign added 3,416 pages. Where the Hell is THAT coming from?? Any clue what I’m doing wrong? I’m using a tutorial that is using CS5, but I don’t see how that has anything to do with all those bloody pages.

Click Numbering in the Paragraph group. In Word 2003, Numbering is on the Formatting toolbar. At this point, you have a one-column table with one hundred rows displaying a sequential list of 1 to 100.

To print tickets with Word, create a table that fills the entire page, create each ticket with text and clip art, then go to “Insert,” click on “Field,” select “Numbering” and then “Sequential” to number each ticket. Does anyone know of a script like this or would they also have a use for it? I wanted to create the script like this for a long long time. So that it can generate custom labels right in the document. Maybe even place barcodes.

The Fundraising Authority advises to offer several payment options because a lot of people pay with debit and credit cards these days, so they sometimes don’t carry cash at all. Also, wherever you are, be visible! Use signs and other attractive displays to help ensure everyone sees you.

To make sure people get their prizes, give them lots of room to print their name, address, and phone number. Some people are leery about giving out their address, but do make sure you get a printed name and phone number.

(If you prefer using the keyboard, rather than the mouse, then do this instead of dragging down: select cell A2, hit CTRL+C to copy, then select cell A3 and use SHIFT+PgDn to select all the way down to row 500. Then hit CTRL+V to paste.)

You need to create a list of numbers using some method (maybe even through VBA) as a text file, database or other data source, then just insert merge field in the document and use Print Merge to generate multiple labels with different numbers in it. (just need to give it enough space to fit the longest string along as many lines as you think there could be) If I reserve space for 50 chars and the major strings are 25 chars, the result is not professional looking. My solution for all print merge for ID cards (and similarities, incl. Auto numbering) is to merging data BEFORE printing, in an CDR file with all pages. So, I check all the cards and I correct only on text object how need. It is thus not surprising when your child approaches you on how to come up with raffle to help his/her club raise some cash.

I had wanted to create a file that didn’t require Excel as the data source, so I created one using SEQ fields. It was terrible and too huge to mention (thanks Doug Robbins), so I recreated it using Word as the data source so that people who only have Word can use it. You can create up to 5,000 tickets without changing the data file. If you only have Word and need to create more than 5,000 tickets, please don’t type the ticket numbers. Just drop me an email and I’ll create another data file for you with the required numbers.

I’m not sure what you’re doing – the ‘/’ should be ‘\’ and the very first ticket # should not have the ‘\c’. See the attached. It has the FILLIN field in the first SEQ field as described in my previous post. Simply press Ctrl-A, then F9, input a starting # and all the tickets will update.

My solution for this when trying to add a number on a page between already existing numbers where to usa a current text frame of the previous number and create a new list object from there. And then I would overset that text and press the overset +-sign to place it on the page. Works perfect.

Right now I’m making a straight sequence of numbers (two to a ticket). There are 3000 tickets (3001-6000 for an example) so my numbered list is double that since there are two to a ticket. Right now my flow is this:

To ensure each number fills its own text frame, select the whole story (Command/Ctrl-A), open the Keep Options (Command/Ctrl-Option/Alt-K) and choose In Next Frame from the Start Paragraph pop-up menu.

Chuck, It does look as though using data merge is the best way, but rather than generating the numbers in Excel here is an improved number generator script to create indesign number and counterfoil numbering data merge files. We recently had to print 500 numbered tickets 8 up on 8.5 x 11. When we took it back to Bindery they would have had to hand collate the tickets back in order after the cut.

6. Open a new blank document in Word. Create two raffle ticket designs, one for the person who buys the ticket and one for the organization selling them. Make sure to connect the two tickets, for example by making them in two-cell tables, side-by-side. Include the name of the organization, perhaps the first prize, and any other information you want on the buyer’s ticket. You might, for example, include spaces for the buyer’s name (‘Name__________’) and phone number on the organization’s ticket. On both tickets, enter a dummy number for the raffle ticket number as a placeholder.

4.  Type tool, place insertion cursor in the first text frame on page 1, (remember this frame is on the Master), apply your paragraph style you’ve just created, press and hold Return button as this will apply Paragraph Style and the cursor will jump to next frame.

So we came up with a way that when each stack was cut they would simply be stack on top of each other. We couldn’t figure out a way to add 8 sets of grouped numbers to 8-up layout so I had to go into the txt file and number it manually. It worked fine but took a little time. Is there an option to pull 8 different sets of numbers to one page? You saved my life! I work at a School Board with 200+ schools and 100+ departments and I have to number every ticket I make.

I have used their raffle ticket services going on 3 years and they are a pleasure to work with. They made ordering and re-ordering http://thedailyrant.net and easy and just placed another order. I would recommend them to anyone. Tod G.

We use the auto page numbering trick here, the trick is to do it as spreads. You just make your pages the same size as the ticket with crops and bleeds. Then set up the shell on the master page and place your auto page number where you want your numbers. Each pages is the next number. You can also have two sets of numbers for perforated ticket. You then can use the page start options to add to the numbers and keep the same number of total numbers. For example you would do a new page start after number 99. 0001 to 0099 so it doesn’t add two “0’s” to the front of 100 and you get 00100 when you want 0100. Works great for small quantities, we have done up to 1000+ tickets and once you do it once or twice it is a snap to set up. To avoid having to do 1000 pages just send the tickets in groups. Usually between 25 to 100 at a time works good depending on artwork file size. Just save each time before sending to printer and name the file with what the tickets are. Like “MyTickets-0001-0100.Indd”. Makes it easier to go back if you have a problem. You can even do two rolls of tickets if your using 12 x 18 sheets by flipping the sheet and doing one row along the top and one along the bottom on reverse side. That is if your ticket is single Sided. Two sided tickets are a bit trickier. 🙂
