Click "Save File" at the "Opening Raffle Ticket Setup" prompt. Go to your downloads folder and open the "Raffle Ticket.exe" file. Click "Run" at the security prompt. Click "Next" twice at the installation wizard prompt. Select "I accept" at the software terms. Enter your "User Name" and "Organization" details. Click "Next" twice and select "Install." The software loads on your computer. Click "Finish" to complete the installation.

The ticket numbering problem seems solved, if awkwardly. But what about linking automatic numbering of text references to a figure (e.g. “see fig.101″) to a legend of that figure (e.g. Fig. 101 shows….”)? Is this quite beyond InDesign CS3? If it is solvable the solution isn’t mentioned in any CS3 book I have managed to get hold of, nor is it dealt with in the CS3 Help facility as far as I can see, nor were the speakers at a recent Adove CS3 Workshop able to solve it. Please advise this frustrated book author!
You need at least one space to make the autonumbering kick in. Now Option/Alt-click on the Autonumbering button in the Control panel (or choose Bullets and Numbering from the Control panel flyout menu) and choose the list you created in the Lists pop-up menu. You might want to adjust the other settings to match this: Now you’re done. Click OK and you should see the number appear in the text frame.

My script looks for the object-name and replaces all the numbers at the end of the text-string. Example: TEST010111 start: 9 how long is the number-string? 5 > TEST00009,TEST00010 and so on every marked object with the specified objectname will get the new string. I have another script that places the marked object(s) in a user-sized sheet after editing the quantity X and Y and the space between the objects.
Pink order (#2) - Ordered these again, even though I wasn't impressed with the first round because they were cheap and they serve the purpose we needed for work. But this time we ordered pink and the new set is beautiful! Lines on back for address/name/phone# seems original order isn't from the same printing company maybe? Nothing stamped made in USA on blue set or Indiana ticket Co. This order has both. The punch outs are not on this roll at all, which is perfectly rolled up, no folded rows. So we're not using the rest of the blue order that we had and instead going forward with these.
Layout your ticket in InDesign, one on each page, using the Page Number function to number the tickets. If you have something like Imposer Pro (I know it doesn't work from InDesign CS3) you can, for instance, impose the pages 4up consecutive and get 4 tickets on an A4. Alternatively, make a PDF of the whole document and impose (manually, if you have to), the advantage here is that this can work as a template for other tickets, simply make a new PDF of the same size and update the PDF in the template document every time you have a new raffle ticket to do.

A good design gives potential buyers an idea into the type of cause they’re supporting right off the bat.
Getting Word to put a unique number on each raffle ticket is easy enough, but persuading Word to print out several uniquely-numbered raffle tickets per sheet of paper is very hard (I think it is impossible, actually. At least I couldn't figure it out. UPDATE: I did figure it out. Instructions for printing raffle tickets using Microsoft Word are here.). And you don't really want to have every raffle ticket use up a whole sheet of paper.

Fusion Pro Desktop easily beats PrintShop Mail from both a price and performance viewpoint. Now for the slightly hard bit. If you just try and complete your merge now, you'll get several pages of tickets. Each page will have four tickets on it. But all tickets on any page will have the same number. Each page will have a different number, but all the tickets on that page will have the same number. That's no good. You need each ticket to have a different number.
