Raffle tickets are a fun and easy way to raise money for an event. Whether it is for a fund-raising event, a family reunion or an office Christmas party, raffle tickets are fun ways for people to participate in the greater good with the possibility of winning a cool prize. Raffles can be private, organization based, local or worldwide events.

All the remaining pages should pop off just how you want it. If you continue to have issues and want me to look at it you can pm me a link to the file and i’ll steer you in the right direction. You are 95% of the way there.

The first thing you need to know is how many tickets you plan to put on a page. That determines the number of columns, or fields, you need in the data file. Next you need to divide the total number of tickets (20,000 in this case), by the number of tickets per page. Round up to the next whole number. This is the number of rows, or records, in the data file. Each record represents a single page in the merged file.

If you are making the tickets ten-up you can put everything on a master page. Make the ticket number [Page Number][digit 0–9] then fill with pages based on that master. Page 1 will be tickets 10–19, page 29 will be tickets 290–299, etc.

Create tickets and forms of all types. Design labels, coupons, gift certificates, or any document that requires text, graphics, or serial numbering. Create and print your project from your desktop in minutes with our easy to use interface.

Please Note: This article is written for users of the following Microsoft Word versions: 97, 2000, 2002, and 2003. If you are using a later version (Word 2007 or later), this tip may not work for you. For a version of this tip written specifically for later versions of Word, click here: Sequentially Numbered Labels.

Before you complete the merge, preview the merge results to make sure that the tracking numbers will display as you want them to in your publications. You can preview the merge in two ways: While you are refining the layout to review the layout of the individual coupon or gift certificate, or when you are getting ready to print, to preview the arrangement of coupons or gift certificates on the printed sheet.

Just download the Raffle tickets with consecutive numbering and matching stubs from the Microsoft Office website. It is a 2003 version and I have Office 2010.   The template has sequential numbering and displays 8 tickets on 2 pages, but I need 3000 tickets.  How do I add more tickets to this document.  I have looked online for tutorials, but most are for starting a ticket from scratch.  Please help!!

I then let InDesign CS4 do the merging. Here’s the formula. This solution will work for printing tickets 4up on an 8.5 x 11 sheet. In Excel, I created a file with columns A-H labeled: ticket 1, stub 1; ticket2, stub2; ticket3, stub3; ticket4, stub4.

The background image has a size of 22p5 by 5p6. You can choose any size as long as it fits onto your page. To fit the Rectangle Frame to the background image, select the Option + Command + C. This fits the frame to the content.

i’ve had to do tons of this lately and found that for the amounts of tickets being done (e.g. 7000 x 10 tickets + cover & mailer) that chuckT’s solution almost 2 years ago is similar to what i use. would be interested to know if others doing similar VDP are using a wholly indesign/excel solution, or if specific VDP software such as XMPie are being used.
