“raffle tickets with one number +raffle ticket sequential numbering”

Do you want to print 2000 raffles 5-up? Or 12,392 forms 8-up? Not a problem! All you need to do is open the Number Assistant, fill in a few fields, then click done — all your numbering settings are automatically inputted!

I’m not sure which version of InDesign first introduced printing Thumbnails like this, but even if yours doesn’t support that, your printer driver may have a similar feature of its own. Check the printer’s own dialog box by clicking “Setup…” near the bottom left corner of the Print dialog and dismissing the warning, then clicking “Preferences…” in Windows’s Print dialog that comes up (I’m not sure how to access this on Mac OS X, but I’m pretty sure there’s an easy way). For instance, on many HP printers, the feature you want is called “Pages per sheet” and has a drop-down offering 1, 2, 4, 9, or 16 pages per sheet.

Some drawbacks to this feature are that you lose a little control when you are typing. Word formats for you and some users do not like this. Also, on certain items, you will get a number when you do not expect or need one. For example, you have an attorney whose name begins with an initial (A. George Smith). When you type the name and press ENTER, the first initial “A.” converts to an automatic number.

Click Customize. Level 1 should be selected. If not, select level 1 from the Level area. Figure 4 shows the Customize Outline Numbered List that is used to change number formatting, such as indents, tabs, and numbering styles.

My issue is trying to create small dot labels or equivalent to make up sequential alpha numeric labels to identify each individual item that I have in my shop, retrospectively. I have possibly 6-8thousand individual items that need coding for stock take purposes yet I can find no outlet that supply such thing. Do you have any suggestions. My line is antiques/collectables, predominantly china with items ranging in size from 2-3cm to 5/600cm. I would be most grateful for any solutions or suggestions. Best regards. Pete.

Word uses styles to create Tables of Contents. A common practice in law firms is to generate outline numbered styles that have bold or underlined heading text immediately followed by paragraph text on the same line. Because the paragraph is formatted with a style, Word tries to place the entire paragraph in the Table of Contents.

Above all, human judgment still has a role—a point perhaps reinforced by the recent performance of algorithmically driven quantitative funds in the financial markets. In fraud detection, for example, algorithms can eliminate the majority of transactions that are above suspicion but a human is still best placed to analyse the dodgy ones. Dunnhumby is trying to overlay attitudinal research on top of purchasing data to understand why people buy things as well as what they buy. Even so, Autonomy’s Mr Lynch is convinced that algorithms are on the march. Algorithms process data to arrive at an answer. The more data they can process the more accurate the answer. For that reason, he says, “they are bound to take the world”.

That doesn’t mean I use a formal template for every document. Sometimes it’s as simple as adding the version number to the file name, rather than inserting an explicit document control section within the document, and it takes seconds to do.

NCR booklets for receipt forms and invoice forms are very handy as a copy of the form can be easily torn from the booklet and given to the customer, while leaving a copy in the booklet for the business. Pages are perforated for easy removal. A sturdy cover wrap maintains the booklet’s integrity and can be inserted between forms to prevent transfer when completing the form.

Solving this “travelling-salesman problem” means a lot to UPS. For its fleet of aircraft in America, the company uses an algorithm called VOLCANO (which stands for Volume, Location and Aircraft Network Optimiser). Developed jointly with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), it is used by three different planning groups within UPS—one to plan schedules for the following four to six months, one to work out what kind of facilities and aircraft might be needed over the next two to ten years, and one to plan for the peak season between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Getting the scheduling wrong imposes a heavy cost: flying half-empty planes or leasing extra aircraft is an expensive business. UPS reckons that VOLCANO has saved the company tens of millions of dollars since its introduction in 2000.

On a case by case basis we will investigate and determine if the damage was due to negligence on our part. Due to the nature of carbonless paper, small press marks may be present on the non white pages. Please email rich@ncrforms.com with questions. If a return is granted, you must return every single sheet, or item, that was sent to you unused. We appreciate your adherence and acceptance of these conditions.

NCR forms have a myriad of uses with some of the most common being invoices, statements, purchase orders, contracts, work orders, applications and receipts where multiple copies are needed for customers, sales people, accounting, agents, mechanics, workers, etc.

4. Test the stamp on a business form to ensure the number is correct and the inkwell is full. Continue stamping forms to create a set of ready-to-use copies or stamp forms as needed, whichever you prefer. The stamp is auto-adjusting and will automatically increase by one with every stamp.

Not if you’re printing digitally, and we are! We’ll print as many colors as you like and it won’t cost any more than printing one color. Black ink is less expensive than colored ink, so black and white tickets are less expensive than colored tickets, but once you’ve chosen color tickets, go ahead and print rainbows if you like! It won’t cost any extra.
Whether they are paper or electronic, documents are the foundation of a construction project. Clear labeling is essential, both for initial storage and later retrieval. But using a document number of 50+ characters really isn’t necessary. Most of the information contained in the doc number is in the document itself – which the user will read anyway – or in the attached metadata.
I am trying to create Raffle Style tickets using Avery 16154 ticket stock.  I am working in Adobe InDesign CC.  Can someone tell me how to create sequentially numbered tickets in Adobe InDesign CC (I have found it for other versions which don’t work in CC). I need a ticket number on the “stub” and the same matching number on the tear off portion.  They are 10 tickets to an 8.5 X 11 page.
