Annabelle – You need the tickets in the top slot of each page to run from 1 to 167, then the second slot down to be 168 – 335, then have 336 – 500 in the third slot. Easiest way to achieve that would be to create a your list of numbers in Step 3 in Excel so it runs as 1,168,336,2,169,337 … etc., like this:

Most business accounting software by default uses sequential numbering for invoices. Sequential invoice numbering is the foundation for creating distinctive invoice numbers. The invoice numbering starts with the number “1” unless you override it. For example, if you prefer a five-digit invoice number, you can replace the “1” with the number, “10,000.” The software will automatically assign the next invoice number, “10,001.” Additionally, if you attempt to enter an invoice with a duplicate invoice number, most software will warn you. To create sequential invoice numbering manually, use a list of sequential numbers. When you use a number, write down the name of the customer to whom you assigned the invoice number and the amount of the invoice.

Make sure that your image is in an accepted file format (TIF, JPG, PNG, GIF, or BMP) and does not exceed the maximum file size (49 MB). If you are still having trouble please try to convert it to a different file format (from JPG to TIF or the other way around). Changing color modes may help, although the ideal color mode is RGB. If none of these steps resolve the issue, try using a different browser. (For instance, if you are using Internet Explorer try switching to Mozilla Firefox or vice versa).

Just click on the “Detail” icon next to the size, quantity and type of form needed. You will then have the opportunity to choose any additional ordering options such as sequential numbering or books with wraparound covers.

Please note: You can have more than one Sequence in your account for all different types of documents. However if you need to edit them you can only change the number value; it cannot be set to a lower value if the sequence and number has already been used for a document.

Thanks I’ll consider something like V01_Final01 since you’re right that D/F might not be very clear although the V would be clear in my case. But yes, because of my specific reports where I get more than one Final version of report based on only one Final dataset, I get value from having V01_Final02 instead of V02_Final, since then I can keep the Version numbers increasing only when the main dataset changes.

NCR (no carbon required) or carbonless forms, like the name suggests, have eliminated the need for carbon paper between sheets to create multiple copies of the same form. The paper is chemically treated to transfer the impression from the first page to the subsequent pages with very little pressure. This works because the bottom side of carbonless NCR paper is coated with micro-encapsulated dye that breaks when pressed. The top of the susequent sheet is coated with clay that reacts with the dye to form a permanent mark. When the top sheet is written on, the pressure causes the micro-capsules to break and release the dye onto the page beneath it.

When I’m working on a version controlled document, I always add a suffix “WIP” onto the file name to show that it is Work In Progress. When I am ready to share/issue the document, I remove the “WIP” suffix (and also add details of the version to the version history section within the document). I do this even for draft documents, and even if the document is only stored locally on my computer, where no one else can see it. In this way, I can easily spot the difference between a document that’s in progress and one that’s complete. It’s especially useful if I’m working on several documents at once, and really helps on projects where I am storing work-in-progress on a shared drive.

If you are designing and building a Trident-class submarine, a MIG-27 jet fighter or an international space station, you, most likely, will need millions of parts, so a long part number format would be needed and will make sence. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble of reading all those zeros and make your numbering system practical. Our Documentation Management Procedure shown in Chapter 3 prescribes part numeration with a four-digit part number format that allows for 9,999 parts, which is probably enough for majority of companies. If your operation is small, drop it to three digits – you may always change it later if you need to. One of my customers, who won my “the Best Part Number” Grand Prize, numbered their documents as 201, 202, 203, and so on. Short and sweet!

2: Generate from user ID. The system uses the address number of the user who prints the transaction to generate the contact information. The system prints the mailing name, professional title, phone number, and mailing address from the Who’s Who table (F0111) for the address number used for the contact information.

Now, you can start putting images and text into here. But you can also insert the ticket number and inspirational quote in by inserting a Text Field. Clicking on those will add autofill textboxes into the merge area.

It depends: if you order Vinyl Stickers, there is no difference in pricing. Color printing costs just the same as black and white. Color Economy Stickers cost slightly more than black and white ones, but the price for color ink includes full color printing, so you can have as many colors as you want!

Extend the background color or pattern 0.1 inch on all sides past the finish size of the sticker. Keep all text information and images 0.1 inch within finish size of the sticker (e.g., if you need a 3 x 3 inch square, the image file should measure 3.2 x 3.2 inches, but all information that can’t be cut off needs to fit within 2.8 x 2.8 inches).

The ordering process is different for online and custom products, so please don’t complete your online order if you want to combine it with a custom one. Instead, create an account online and add the online tickets to your cart without checkout out. Make sure you’ve entered your shipping and billing information online and then call Customer Support at 888 771 0809. We’ll start the custom product ordering process and finalize the entire order once we have all the information.

We’re sorry: we don’t offer matching envelopes for Gift Certificates, Invitations, or Tickets at this time. We do sell basic white envelopes with a large back flap. Envelope sizes and prices are as follows:

Barcodes printed over a pattern or text will not be scannable. If you are using the Heat Sensitive Security paper and print a barcode on the side with the security ink, the barcode will not be scannable.

Number Position This affects how numbers line up in a document, whether they are right, left, or center aligned. For example, you may want decimals to align for lists with double-digit numbering and thus would choose Right alignment. Settings in this area do not affect the text however.

This thread of full of useful contributions that complement the OP, so thanks to each of you. I’m about to start a business and want to set practical guidelines for our new, pristine online document store (with built in version control). In previous roles I’ve had to grudgingly accept that different situations require different naming conventions, but those apparently choosing the convention seemed to make it up as they went along! Our folder structure will emerge organically, so I’m considering setting a rule that says sub-folders with CAPITALISED names should contain a file with the naming conventions for that branch, whereas folders in Sentence Case should inherit guidelines from the parent (or grandparent) folder. I’ll suggest they read this post and follow Josephine’s link to the excellent guidelines written by Anne Thompson of the University of Edinburgh. I wonder whether this will be empowering … or perhaps just lead to chaos?!

Choose from a variety of stocks, fonts and styles online. We guarantee our tickets will be consecutively numbered and in order. Order multiple copies and/or colors at once for greater discount tier pricing. The only thing Economy about this style ticket is the price!

If you’re planning to sell tickets prior to the event and the proceeds (from ticket sales) for a single draw are not anticipated to exceed £20,000 then you must register with your local authority as a ‘small society lottery’. You would need to pay a small fee and comply with a range of regulatory requirements including providing entrants to the lottery with tickets stating specific information (see below) and preventing children under the age of 16 from participating. If the proceeds for a single draw were to exceed £20,000 you would require a ‘large society lottery’ licence from the Gambling Commission.

@Tony, do you track how each Draft was updated in the document? I can see how it’s important during the review cycle (“Hey, what changed since I last looked at your document? Were my comments incorporated?”)…but once approved, the revision history for the ‘Issue Approved’ (changes since last approved version) is more important than the draft.

Please include the specific versions of FusionPro, Acrobat, and your operating system in any problem reports or help requests. I recommend putting this information in your forum signature. Please also check your composition log (.msg) file for relevant error or warning messages.

NCR announced that Mike Groesch, VP, NCR Smart Services, Product Management, Development and Delivery, has been named a co-chairperson of the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s Internet of Things (IoT) Leadership Council.

I’ve described how to do this using Data Merge a number of times, including in post # 6 at I need to number 20,000 tickets in InDesign and have them in order when I cut them where I describe how to do it for stack-cut imposition without a plugin.

Smile! Be friendly and approachable. You’re raising funds for a cause that you’re passionate about, so let that shine through. People respond to genuineness, and when they can see how much you care, they’ll be more likely to buy from you.

With all of the many available templates, how do you select the right ticket design? It’s a good idea to choose a design featuring a background image that in some way fits with your fundraising purpose. This ties your efforts together in a cohesive way, making your tickets more attractive to buyers. A good design gives potential buyers an idea into the type of cause they’re supporting right off the bat. If you’re raising money for a sports organization, choose a template featuring images. LIkewise, a template with musical notes on it fits in well for a band-related fundraiser. However, if you need a basic template that works for any function, we have simple designs that fit any general need. It’s best to use something other than general copy paper when printing raffle tickets. Heavier weight paper, or even card stock, could be a better choice. Not only does it look more professional, but the tickets will tear off more easily along the perforation. Choose paper colors on the lighter end of the spectrum so that the template design shows up clearly when printed. Office supply stores and craft stores carry papers in various weights, and these are both good places to buy card stock. Some stores sell raffle ticket paper that’s already perforated, so using this type eliminates one of your most time-consuming tasks.

Some of these tasks are more mechanistic than others. For instance, people often make mistakes when they key in their credit-card numbers online. With millions of transactions being processed at a time, a rapid way to weed out invalid numbers helps to keep processing times down. Enter the Luhn algorithm (see below), named after its inventor, Hans Luhn, an IBM researcher. The numbers on a credit card identify the card type, the issuer and the user’s account number. The last number of all is set to ensure that the Luhn algorithm produces a figure divisible by ten. If it is, the card number has been properly entered and the processing can go ahead.

Recently I have been marking up my changes manually, simply by changing the font colour, and thus avoiding such subversive feelings. This has the added benefit that I can choose my markup colour rather than having Word choose it for me. And my favourite markup colour is…(wait for it)…pink! Specifically, magenta. Why magenta? Because it’s the one colour that shows up well both in colour and when printed out in black & white. Blue and red are both too dark, but magenta is just right. Magenta markup has the added benefit of providing an ideal ice-breaker for document review sessions – I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had to explain why I use it.

  1. (POL and RUS) The system does not print the total number of pages on the legal documents for Poland and Russia, so you can leave this field blank. The system ignores any value that you enter in this field when you print Polish or Russian legal documents.
An NCR permission form was produced outside of numberED as a pdf file. The customer wanted to print the form as a two page NCR set each with its own unique number. The number is placed in the lower right of the printed pages along with the text ‘Control No.’. The numbers sequence from ‘00001’ through ‘01800’.
Note  By default, Word follows the number with a tab that is set at 0.25″ after the number. If you set your Indent Position to be larger than the Number Position, this will control the position of the tab after the number as well as the text that follows it. But if you want text to wrap back to the margin, the default 0.25″ tab will appear.
Now you’re done. Click OK and you should see the number appear in the text frame. To make more numbers, just duplicate this frame. Every time you make a new frame, InDesign increments the number automatically. Note that in the following image, the frames are not threaded together:
