The Heat Sensitive Security paper has micro text in green ink on one side, usually the back of the ticket. If you add small text to the back, it might not be readable. If you have a lot of text or an image that covers the whole back of the ticket, it will be printed over the micro text and you will not be able to use the security feature to verify the ticket’s authenticity.

Don’t take our word for it — try the fully functional demo below! You can test all the features of the full version to see how Number Press will work for you but with “Number Press: Unregistered Version” printed in two locations. The full version removes this text.
This coating on each of the sheets eliminates the need for a sheet of carbon paper to be inserted between each copy, hence the name “No Carbon Required”. You might remember the waitresses used to use the carbon forms to take your order at your local Diner.
I’ve described how to do this using Data Merge a number of times, including in post # 6 at I need to number 20,000 tickets in InDesign and have them in order when I cut them where I describe how to do it for stack-cut imposition without a plugin.

The next step is to create the simple Excel workbook that contains the ticket numbers. Open a blank Excel sheet. Using Figure B as a guide, create the ticket numbering sheet and save it, making sure to note the new workbook’s name and location. As we discussed earlier, the Excel workbook stores the ticket numbers. In this example, we’ll create 11 tickets numbered 100 through 110. You’ll need to update the ticket values for each merge.
UPS uses algorithms to help deliver the millions of packages that pass through its transportation network every day in the most efficient way possible. The simplest routes are easy to draw up. If a driver has only three destinations to visit, he can take only six possible routes. But the number of possible routes explodes as the destinations increase. There are more than 15 trillion, trillion possible routes to take on a journey with just 25 drop-off points—and an average day for a UPS driver in America involves 150 destinations. The picture is further complicated by constraints such as specified drop-off and pick-up times for drivers or runway lengths and noise restrictions for aircraft. “Algorithms provide benefits when the choices are so great that they are impossible to process in your head,” says UPS’s Jack Levis.
Outside of the amount due, the invoice number is the second most important number on your invoice. Systematically assigning a unique number to each invoice will give you an identifier for it. Use this identifier to look up an invoice on a computer when a customer calls with an invoice question or to find a physical copy of the invoice in your files. Structure your invoice number any way that best suits your needs, as long as you end the number with a distinctive sequential identifier.
The last 3 digits shall be the sequential number from 001 to 999 and assigned in sequence. The similar drawings or documents in the same discipline should be grouped by assigning numbers in series the possible extent.
Once you click on this icon, a dialog will pop up asking you what data you wish to merge. You can either merge all the data (All numbers in the excel file), current record (just 1 sheet), or select a range. I recommend selecting a range, as the Excel file packs contains numbers up to 10,000.

Note: As you drag the fill handle across each cell, Excel displays a preview of the value. If you want a different pattern, drag the fill handle by holding down the right-click button, and then choose a pattern.
To make sure people get their prizes, give them lots of room to print their name, address, and phone number. Some people are leery about giving out their address, but do make sure you get a printed name and phone number.
Click Numbering in the Paragraph group. In Word 2003, Numbering is on the Formatting toolbar. At this point, you have a one-column table with one hundred rows displaying a sequential list of 1 to 100.

We offer both display options: Plastic badges, synthetic badges, and heavy duty card stock badges can come with a lanyard slot and can be attached to a lanyard with bulldog clip and worn around the neck.
The rolling-ball algorithm is in its fourth version. Refinements occur every year or two, to add new attributes or to tweak the maths. All these data then feed into a variety of decisions, such as the ranges to put into each store and which products should sit next to each other on the shelves. “All this sophisticated data analysis and it comes down to where you put the biscuits,” laments Martin Hayward, director of consumer strategy at Dunnhumby.
The Number Press Number Assistant is what makes numbering with Number Press so easy. Other numbering programs require you to think hard about what you want, do math, and waste time with trial and error — but not Number Press!

RKBC is only a small business and apart from a few specialist services, all the work is handled internally.
One solution is to format the heading with the style and follow it with a hidden paragraph mark. You should format the text in the next paragraph with a style that is not included in the Table of Contents. A hidden paragraph mark keeps the text together on one line when it is printed, even though it is actually two separate paragraphs. The Table of Contents command picks up only those paragraphs with heading styles and places them into the Table of Contents.
Yes you can! If you need multiple stubs on your tickets you will be able to add them and position them where you want on your ticket. You can add up to 4 stubs. All stubs must be a minimum of 1″ from each other and from the sides of the ticket. If you need a horizontal stub it needs to be a minimum of .882″ from the top and bottom of the ticket.
In general, your table of contents will only show the first two levels of headings. The headings should appear in the table of contents exactly the same way as they appear in the text of your report in terms of numbering, capitalisation, underlining etc. (Weaver & Weaver, 1977).
You’re almost there! Once you’ve filled out your template, chosen your paper type, stapling options, and order quantity, just click on the continue option at the bottom of the page. This generates your proof. Look at it carefully to make sure it’s exactly what you want! (If it isn’t, just go back and fix it.) Once you’re satisfied, please read and click the disclaimer and add the item to your cart. If you are not signed in yet, you’ll be asked to either create a new account or sign into your existing account. Click on continue and you’ll be guided through the shipping, billing, review, and checkout pages.
Now repeat for the second and third tickets. But not the fourth, because that’s at the end of the page, so Word will skip to the next number anyway, because the next page always gets the next item in your merge list. Your document should look like this:
In a legal document, it’s rare for every paragraph in the document to be numbered. Usually, you change between numbered paragraphs and non-numbered (plain) paragraphs of text. When Word sees you switching between these types of formats, it usually tries to help by restarting your numbered list back at “1” (or the first value of your list, such as “A”). There are a few different ways to make the number follow the last number of your paragraphs. In Word, this is called Continue from Previous List.
The number is inserted in the content control and any associated leading and trailing texts are inserted in the bookmarks placed wither side of the content control; unless the update option is selected, when the number is replaced.
Each posting receives many applications. Due to the volume, we are not able to follow-up directly with each applicant. Warning Some people like to use BACKSPACE to remove numbering. This method does remove the number but leaves the cursor indented to whichever level you happened to be in, especially in Outline Numbered paragraphs. The two methods mentioned above will remove the number and restore your cursor to the left margin.
