In the example I explained, I was using a list, but did it with un-linked text boxes using “continue from previous number” and “continue numbers across stories.” I’m guessing that there is no way to tell InDesign that even though there are 4 text boxes on the page, that there are two different lists? I’d probably have to just create two threaded stories for that scenario to work.
Promote your events with professionally-printed tickets. Event tickets are used for advertising upcoming events like seminars, fairs and concerts. These are also used as invitations during special occasions. It is best to print out event tickets which can last until the end of an event in case you need reference for your guests' presence/proof of payment. Your attendees can make a souvenir out of your durable tickets for a memorable event.

We sequentially number all our Event Tickets, Raffle Tickets, Drink Tickets, and VIP Passes to keep your event secure! All you have to do is enter the first number in the line that says "Start Number". If you enter "001" and order 250 tickets the numbering will go from 001 up to 250. If you enter "000" and order 250 tickets the numbering will go from 000 up to 249. For increased security, some of our customers choose larger, random numbers for their start number. This makes it much harder for people to create convincing forgeries.

The exciting thing about our templates is that you are free to customize them, they are easy to download, and you can use them over and over again. These templates will save you time and money and so easy to use, that you can grab yourself a cup of coffee, sit down, relax and create your raffle tickets. Remember you might find other uses for them as well, some may use this sequential numbering system to create price tags for bake sales, and garage sales. Indeed, anything you may require a ‘ticket’ for, you can customize our templates and make them work for you.

Hi - are you creating your own tickets using the instructions on this page? If so, you can of course change the font and everything else in your Word document. If you are using the Raffle Ticket Creator app (app.raffleticketcreator.com) then you can't change the font size ... you'll just need to tinker with the exact words that you are including in order to get them to fit on the page. Hope that helps!
You can use the Serial Number Tool located above the template. The tickets will be numbered sequentially from the start number you enter. For example if you enter start number "001" and order 250 tickets they will be numbered from 001 up to 250. You can choose any start number you like. Choosing an unlikely start number helps protect you from ticket fraud.
Our raffle ticket templates have a placeholder for a ticket number, usually “xxx” to remind you it needs to be replaced. Select it, click Insert Merge Field > Ticket. Do the same for the second ticket number placeholder. Most tickets will have two number placeholders because one part of the ticket is for the raffle host (you) and the other is for the purchaser.
You don’t have to be a born salesperson to move all your tickets, but the better your sales tactics, the more successful you’ll probably be. Peter Kajanzy teaches how to crush a sale with pro techniques. One bit of advice he offers: When people ask for the price, instead of doing a complex breakdown of one for $2, three for $5, and so on, go straight to “You can buy five tickets for $8.”
Create excitement for your event with professional-looking tickets you can make yourself. Avery Tickets with Tear-Away Stubs are easy to design and customize with free templates on Avery Design & Print. Add your logo, event name, date and time, and even sequential numbering to keep track of tickets for admission, VIP passes, fundraiser raffles or prize drawings.

Below, we have a small and easy to follow tutorial on how to create sequentially numbered raffle tickets using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Simply choose one of our 30 raffle ticket templates and download it to your computer. Next, begin the following tutorial. This tutorial will take you through the process of using Excel to create the numbering sequence, which you will then save, and import into Microsoft Word.
If you want to estimate shipping costs for an order of more than one template, select one after the other, change the quantities, type in a start number, and add them to your cart by clicking on "continue". Once all your items are in the cart, type your zip code into the "estimate shipping costs" box in the bottom right hand corner to open the pop-up window with available shipping options and costs.

I am using your instructions to create a page of tickets - the design has been created as a picture so I added a text box to "hold" the mail merge instructions but I keep getting the error message "You cannot include DATA, NEXT, NEXTIF, or SKIPIF fields in comments, headers, footers, footnotes or endnotes." I have not included any of these but I'm wondering if it's because I've attempted to insert it in a text box. Is there an easy way to do this? TIA
The only glitch is that our shipping cost estimator only works with US Zip Codes. To estimate shipping costs outside the US, add the item or items to your shopping cart and begin the check out process. The easiest way is to change the template quantity from the default number to the number of products you need and type in a start number before adding the item to your cart. Once you have entered your shipping address you will be taken to a page listing available shipping options and their prices.

The ordering process is different for online and custom products, so please don't complete your online order if you want to combine it with a custom one. Instead, create an account online and add the online tickets to your cart without checkout out. Make sure you've entered your shipping and billing information online and then call Customer Support at 888 771 0809. We'll start the custom product ordering process and finalize the entire order once we have all the information.
Another fan of Fusion Pro Desktop here. This is exactly what you need. We have sold both PrintShop Mail and Fusion Pro Desktop for this very application (numbering) and other VDP applications. Fusion Pro Desktop easily beats PrintShop Mail from both a price and performance viewpoint. You could also try Printer's Bench http://www.elkriversystems.com/ProductsList.aspx for a good entry level package

Having your event tickets professionally printed for your special occasion can add a sense of authenticity and exclusivity. Admission tickets can include the date and time of the event, the address, your company’s logo, and even special promotional offers. These vouchers can be printed in spot PMS colors or full color on one side or both. There is also the option to add a perforation on the side or have the tickets numbered to help keep track of how many people attend your gathering.
I am stumped on how to double number the tickets I have designed, meaning have 001 appear on both the ticket and 001 appear on the stub.  I researched numbering, and found out how to insert the page number twice by putting it on the master, and then just inserting the number of pages I need.  The issue I am having is with printing.  Is there a way to print a page 4 or 8-up? I am not getting the results I want when I goto File->Print->Printer...  Am I missing something in InDesign?

I have done this twice now, getting flustered. The ticket part the person keeps has the correct sequential number on it, but the side that we keep has the same number on it for the whole page. What part am I missing, at first I did not uncheck the box, but this time I did but have the same number on the stub side that we keep with the person's name, etc

Whether they're getting ready to win or ready to enter your big event, your guests will love the thrill of entering with our raffle tickets. Custom ticket printing is often required in a lot of events. Concert, raffle, movie, and theater tickets are kinds of tickets that need to have a number. Ticket numbers function like an identification card. The ticket should always be with its owner because that is a person’s proof that they paid for a concert or movie, or the owner of a winning ticket.
