This is a great thread and very timely as I’m about to write a short document around file and folder taxonomy for a PMO team. My preference for revisions to a baselined document is to the use the current version i.e. v1.0 and add minor increments 1.1, 1.2 etc until all changes approved and then baseline it at the next major increment i.e. v2.0. It depends: booklet size depends on the weight of your card stock. If you choose the heavy weight white card stock, 10 tickets per book is the maximum. For medium weight colored card stock, we can staple as many as 15 tickets per book. With the medium weight office paper in white, we can staple a maximum of 25 tickets in a book.

  1. If you are going to insist on numbering your documents and avoid grouping them then make sure the numbering system has some logic to it. Ensure people can have a good stab at guessing at least the start of the document number. For instance a Safety Form could start SF whereas a Safety procedure could start SP and a Quality Procedure start QP.
    The Liabilities Category is where you keep track of your company’s debt obligations or what your company owes or may owe in the future. You may want to start numbering the liabilities section with 2000. Just like with the Assets Category, you want to follow the traditional form of the balance sheet in developing the liabilities section of the chart of accounts. You will have a current liabilities section and a long-term liabilities section.
