Security microtext is extremely small, and in almost all cases, will not be legible when copied. The security message is printed on the back of the DYO ticket, which means that, if you choose a double sided ticket, you'll want to be careful not to print your image and text on top of it.

Your font size needs to be large enough that the average person can read the print without squinting, but you'll want to keep it small enough to allow room for all of your details. Thank you for your reply.  It reassured me that I was on the right path. From having read other Help texts, I guessed that I would have to use good ole mail-merge and set up a numbers list in Excel. Luckily my knowledge of Excel was good enough to know about the drag&drop for sequential immediate numbering. When it came to the crunch, it was this particular type of mail merge which gave me a bit of initial difficulty. Despite my having used it happily and often in Word, for labels in Publisher, it was - not surprisingly - different in certain respects; principally the crucial point of the Print stage, which necessitated finding the option Publications & Paper Settings, and selecting 2 specific parameters, namely (1) Multiple pages per sheet,  (2) Single-sided printing (my default double printing had appeared). Once I'd sussed this, it was plain sailing.  Thanks again.
Tyvek® is comfortable to wear, can resist repetitive folding and flexing, and is inexpensive to purchase in large quantities. These wristbands are quickly secured on a patron's wrist, eliminating potential traffic jams as people line up to get into your event. If your sales team is on the go, they might appreciate having items stapled into convenient booklets, which can make them easier to distribute. If you choose stapling, we will staple your tickets together in booklets of up to 10 items. Stapling costs a bit extra: to see how much please select the stapling option and choose the number of items per booklet. The price in the lower right hand corner will adjust accordingly.

I know that PrintShopMail will do it, but I was wandering if there was a less expensive solution out there so that I could get numbered tickets (usually 4-up) right off the Xerox. I just want to avoid having to go the the Windmill after trimming and doing it the old fashion way. There is a tiny little copy shop here in town that is doing it, and am willing to bet that they are not using PrintShopMail, but I'm also not going to ask them to share their methods with a competitor. There has to be cheaper solution. I know that I can do it with auto page numbering in Indesign, but that means I can only print raffle tickets 1-up which wont work.
This depends. The standard font styles, sizes, colors, and sizes available for each template are preset: that's just another way that online ticket templates save you money. They can't be changed online because the ordering process is automated, which keeps our prices low. But, you can always change an online template into a custom order. We use the auto page numbering trick here, the trick is to do it as spreads. You just make your pages the same size as the ticket with crops and bleeds. Then set up the shell on the master page and place your auto page number where you want your numbers. Each pages is the next number. You can also have two sets of numbers for perforated ticket. You then can use the page start options to add to the numbers and keep the same number of total numbers. For example you would do a new page start after number 99. 0001 to 0099 so it doesn't add two "0's" to the front of 100 and you get 00100 when you want 0100. Works great for small quantities, we have done up to 1000+ tickets and once you do it once or twice it is a snap to set up. To avoid having to do 1000 pages just send the tickets in groups. Usually between 25 to 100 at a time works good depending on artwork file size. Just save each time before sending to printer and name the file with what the tickets are. Like "MyTickets-0001-0100.Indd". Makes it easier to go back if you have a problem. You can even do two rolls of tickets if your using 12 x 18 sheets by flipping the sheet and doing one row along the top and one along the bottom on reverse side. That is if your ticket is single Sided. Two sided tickets are a bit trickier. :-)

I have done this twice now, getting flustered. The ticket part the person keeps has the correct sequential number on it, but the side that we keep has the same number on it for the whole page. What part am I missing, at first I did not uncheck the box, but this time I did but have the same number on the stub side that we keep with the person's name, etc

It's all about the features. The first price quote you saw was based on the least expensive options: colored paper with no frills. If you choose white paper, which is heavier than colored paper, it will cost more. Select colored paper and the price will return to the original quote. Adding stapling or your own image to the back of the template will also change the price of the order.
There is very simple solution that we use and that is to lay out the sheet say 6 up on a A4 sheet as a master page and in document setup set the number of pages to 1,000 if that is the amount you require. Put a page number on each ticket on the page and although they will all have the same number on each page, we put the the first two letters of the customers business name before each number followed by the letters of the alphabet so it then reads for example BT1A, BT2A, BT3A, BT1B, BT2B, BT2C and so on as each page is printed.
Our digital printers can print in black ink on a colored Wristband, or print in full color on white Wristbands. If you need white text, we can offer you a workaround by printing a color background on a white Wristband. Keep in mind that we can't print all the way to the edges. Event Wristbands measure 1 by 10 inches, but the printable area measure 0.85 by 7 inches. You'll see white margins on the top, bottom, left, and right of the wristband.
Think small. For the most part, Custom Wristbands can easily be printed with any design: just keep in mind that the printable area is roughly .85" by 7". Our wide, 1" bands allow for a much larger area to customize than other wristbands. Since Tyvek® is not paper, but rather a strong, waterproof, and durable fabric, inkjet printers are the optimal printing technology and your logos and text may seem less bright, and the edges less sharp, than you would expect with a laser printing on high gloss paper. However, the printing is durable and will not smear or rub on the Tyvek® wristband, and your Custom Wristbands can be tailored to match your event's custom promotional material.
You probably know about Word's mail merge feature, and you might even use it to print labels or other documents, where some of the information changes (such as form letters). You can use the same feature with Publisher. Although you might not think of Publisher as an Office app, it comes with several different versions of Office.
