Even though it looks like I clicked on the numbering button at the top, I did not. I applied the list number style. That style has different indents and a different font. Those are the settings in the List Number Style.

I made a point of numbering all my documents by order of their place in the quality manual. For example, Section 8 is Vehicle Management and the first document in this chapter is the Company Vehicle Policy. Thus Doc 8.1- Company Vehicle Policy, 8.2- Vehicle Cleaning Procedure etc…. Word comes with some default Outline Numbering schemes that already have Styles attached but that doesn’t mean you are only limited to those styles or those schemes. For more information on styles, see the on Styles.

@Tony, do you track how each Draft was updated in the document? I can see how it’s important during the review cycle (“Hey, what changed since I last looked at your document? When the context menu opens, look for the choice Edit Field…. If it doesn’t exist, then your template doesn’t use the SEQ function. If it does exist, click on it. When the next window opens, you should see SEQ in the Advance field properties box. That template definitely uses SEQ.

Some customers (especially engineering companies) work with large and complex documents that are tightly controlled. These customers like to assign a specific number to a document and use it throughout its lifecycle, this is what FileHold calls a document control number.

We recommend you create a print file (the default) and then print the tickets in batches from this saved file, so make sure you include all the tickets needed in this selection. This will only create the Print File, and will not go directly to the printer.

The way we worked it with versioning for files away from SharePoint, is two ways. Anyone who had a stake in the document had access the SharePoint, so they changed the file there. The other way was to have one person own the document and have the changes forwarded to them. They both work!

You can also apply numbers by using a menu command. From the Format menu, choose Bullets and Numbering. There are different advantages to both. The following exercises show how to use each method to applying basic numbers to a list.

The cost of your order depends on many factors: the template you choose, whether your templates require color ink or black ink, the number of image uploads, your choice of stapling, the type of paper you select, and, of course, the number of tickets or other products you order.
