You use InDesign or Illustrator and things like variables to increment numbers. Doesn't matter in your case, though. If you really are going to print it with an online service, you will just create a PDF with 300 separate pages/ artboards and could just as well hack in the numbers manualyl or use something liek automatic page numbering to increment them.
I had wanted to create a file that didn't require Excel as the data source, so I created one using SEQ fields. It was terrible and too huge to mention (thanks Doug Robbins), so I recreated it using Word as the data source so that people who only have Word can use it. You can create up to 5,000 tickets without changing the data file. If you only have Word and need to create more than 5,000 tickets, please don't type the ticket numbers. Just drop me an email and I'll create another data file for you with the required numbers.
Create three Numbering Lists, and make sure you check to keep numbering accross multiple stories. Create three text frames, insert just blank space in each and apply numbering format but with different Numbering List selected. Then group text frames with your ticket and you are done. Now simply duplicate group across page and that's it. Numbering will be automatically increased.

Your font size needs to be large enough that the average person can read the print without squinting, but you'll want to keep it small enough to allow room for all of your details. Multiple ticket types? No problem! We can generate a separate proof for every different ticket type you'd like. We can even use different color schemes for different dates or levels of access, providing you with easy visual recognition. Because these are distinct tickets, we print and process each set separately to ensure the highest quality in both print and packaging. Pricing is slightly higher.
If your sales team is on the go, they might appreciate having items stapled into convenient booklets, which can make them easier to distribute. If you choose stapling, we will staple your tickets together in booklets of up to 10 items. Stapling costs a bit extra: to see how much please select the stapling option and choose the number of items per booklet. The price in the lower right hand corner will adjust accordingly.
That depends on the template you've chosen. Each template features a unique design and layout, so the number of characters per line is different for every online template. Don't worry; it's easy to tell whether or not your text fits on the template. Just enter all your information into the ticket template and then click "View Proof" at the bottom of the page. If your text doesn't fit, any lines with too many characters will appear in red on your proof. From there, you can go back to the template and make it work: either shorten the line or try to break it up in two lines, if the template layout allows for that. Remember that capital letters need more space than lower case letters, and vertical layouts usually allow for less text than horizontal layouts.
You’ll need to decide on a selling price. You don’t want to price them too high so that many people would find it too expensive. The lower the price of each ticket, the more tickets you’ll sell. If you price your tickets at $1 each, expect each buyer to purchase from one to five tickets. If your tickets are $5-10 each, each buyer will likely purchase no more that two.
The ordering process is different for online and custom products, so please don't complete your online order if you want to combine it with a custom one. Instead, create an account online and add the online tickets to your cart without checkout out. Thanks very much for your prompt reply, which reassured me that I was on the right path. From having read various Help topics, I suspected that I'd have to use an Excel data source for the numbers. Fortunately, my knowledge of Excel was good enough to know about the drag and drop facility to create automatic sequential numbering, so the data source creation was easy. In the end, it was the mail merge (no surprises?) which proved a tad tricky, but I got there in the end. I've used MM many times and quite happily in Word documents, but for Publisher label format, it was of course a bit different. The important bit that I had to discover for myself was the significance of, after getting to the Print stage, going into Print options, to Publication & Paper Settings, and selecting Multiple Pages per Sheet (& in my case, also "Single-sided" cos my default of duplex printing had come up). But TA-DA! All is fine now. Thanks very much again.
It depends on whether you've designed your Poster at full size, or have created a smaller image you'd like enlarged. In general, images saved at 300 DPI make for the best print jobs. Even if you plan on designing a poster at its finished size, it is ideal to have the images and file saved at 300 DPI to ensure high quality at 100% reproduction although, at minimum the resolution must be 150 DPI at print size. If you submit an 8.5" x 11" or 11" x 17" document to be enlarged, please make sure that the images are saved at 300 DPI or better to ensure a sharp resolution.
