Check Apply Leading to Entire Paragraphs in the Type panel is basically a sign that you don’t know how to use InDesign efficiently and that you’re mostly using it like Illustrator instead. If you use styles instead of manually changing everything, you’ll never have to check that option, ever. That’s because Paragraph styles affect everything in the paragraph, including the invisible characters such as spacing at its end.

Instantly find images on your local network and search online portals and websites, and easily access content using built-in content assistant Corel® CONNECT. Organize assets by type or project in trays that are shared between Corel DESIGNER, CorelDRAW, Corel PHOTO-PAINT and Corel CONNECT for maximum efficiency. Utilize the Content Exchange and the tray synchronization option with Microsoft OneDrive.
Pros: I use this software from so many years ago and with the time they have always improve, I use this to modify and edit images vectorizing and making great design for my presentations, through the years Corel DRAW have added more features and options to make the design more complex and details, the bright options and the vectorizing tool are better than they were in the past, the details of the images is awesome and the extension are endless, for design this is one of my favorites.
its eternal failure with the colors when printing, only the experience makes me know what color to choose so as not to have direct colors on the screen. When exporting complex vectors with shadows the program gives an error and you can see some white lines that are not in the graphic piece (this always happens and there is no way to avoid it) unless the shadows are erased
The auto-indenting feature of bullets and lists has always frustrated me. EVERY time you apply a numbered or bulleted list, you've got to set the indents. I want my lists to be indented at the very left of the page, flush with the rest of the paragraphs. But no, Microsoft insists that you want them indented by 0.63cm and hanging at 1.27cm (WHY 0.63? Why not 0.7? Or 1.0cm? But that's a question for a different session.) (I know, it's because MS is American and still uses inches etc...)
When you launch CorelDRAW, you are now logged into the Corel server using the account you have set up. As a result, only one version of CorelDRAW X6 (a licensed copy) can be running on one computer at one time. For example, if I have the program running on one computer and then I decide to run the same licensed version of CorelDRAW from another computer, I am now forced to log out of the software on the first computer before I can start CorelDRAW on the other computer. (I can shut down CorelDRAW or shut that computer down.)
If you’re not satisfied with these prefab styles, you can easily modify them: Right-click the style name in the Style gallery, and choose Modify. Make whatever changes you want (click Bold to render all the text in that style in bold type, for example), and click OK. Now all of the text in the document that you have formatted using that style will automatically update to reflect your change.
Microsoft Publisher is an application that turns your computer into a desktop publishing center--allowing you and your students to create a number of professional looking documents. Roger Wambolt, senior product trainer at Corel, eases in with an exploration of the interface and touches on the major players in the toolbox: the Pick, Shape, Crop, Curve, and Interactive tools. Then, once you know how to draw simple lines and shapes, he shows how to group, copy, and adjust objects on your document page. Plus, learn about working with text, using the new Font Manager and the extensive library of fonts in CorelDRAW, adding and editing images, automating tasks with scripts and macros, creating color palettes, and preparing your CorelDRAW projects for print. Roger closes with some tips on customizing the CorelDRAW interface to be more productive and create your designs in fewer steps.
In general, change the feature settings in the dialog box, and then save the settings. Styles and presets are stored in the document in which they are created. You can use the settings from another document by importing or loading the styles and presets from that document. In addition, most presets can be exported or saved to a separate file and distributed to other computers.

When you create an account, you are asked to choose one of the two memberships: standard or premium. As a default, you are assigned a standard subscription. This allows you to access some online products along with some fonts. You will be informed of any updates that are available to be downloaded and those downloads will be applied if you choose.

Produce illustrations that contain descriptive text, then output directly to the Translation Memory System (TMS), and process in Corel DESIGNER for translated results to use in multi-lingual global technical publication. Now, you can format text spanning multiple columns and use Corel DESIGNER to author complete user manuals or documents. Next, send the source language text for translation and receive translations to create localized documents literally with one click.
On the "Prepress" tab you have the option of activating "Bleed Limit". Even if the current document does not have an active bleed, you can activate it while creating the PDF. But remember that the objects must extend out from the page limit. Activating the "Bleed Limit" does not automatically increase the size of objects used to create the design. Another option which is often useful is to activate "Crop marks" to indicate the limits of our design. For this reason it is important that the page size is the real size.
The ability to create custom paragraph and character styles is an excellent time-saving feature. This pane is visible in the work area by default, and if you’ve hidden it for some reason, you can bring it up by pressing Command/Control + F11. You can create styles exactly to your liking using many options; and then you can apply them to a portion of text with just one click.
There is an enhanced display of choices when browsing fonts in the Control, Character, and Properties panels font family menus. When you click the Font Family menu, there are two tabs at the top left (Figure 5): the “Fonts” tab shows currently installed or activated fonts. But here’s the cool one that is easy to overlook: The “Find More” tab previews Adobe Fonts that are available to be activated. Yes, that means instant access to thousands of fonts from within InDesign, without having to visit Adobe’s website.
Virtual Memory is used by Windows to swap information from RAM to the hard disk in order to free memory for use by applications when physical RAM is low. A paging file is used to accomplish this task. By default, Windows manages the paging file size and sets it to 1.5 times the amount of RAM on the system. This can be increased in cases where CorelDRAW appears to slow as a result of graphic and object intensive documents. When setting the paging size, the max size should never exceed 3 times that amount of physical RAM installed on the computer. To increase Virtual Memory settings, please consult the Windows help files. desktop numbering using publisher
